errr, because Tauru only played 10 games after injury and knocking someone out in the vfl. also, don't embarrass yourself and use the rising star as any sort of metric. A lot of spuds that didn't even make the grade have won the award. aka Rhys Palmer and Lewis Taylor. Let alone guys that came 4th.Langford 4th in the Rising Star. Where did Tauru place?
He’ll never apologise lolI said Murphy Reid was a gun last year pre draft and he won the rising star to prove me right but id still much rather Langford than Reid after what we've seen. If people watched us more closely last year (fair enough why no one would) you cant tell me you'd take anyone over him. Langford in a faster paced team will be incredible, buckle up Dan and get your apology ready.

Keep the faith, he forgave Sparrow after that kick to Petty which was unforgivable 6 months later. He’ll never apologise lol
"90% of neutrals" but not 1 Rising Star nomination despite 10 games. Reid easily. What do you think of Reid vs Lindsay?
One thing I like with us potentially looking at Farrow and Nairn, is that they could potentially start to push out Salem and Langdon, respectively, over the next couple of years IMO. Plus, the flow on effect of Farrow and Lindsay both hopefully being backline regulars could mean Rivers gets a more consistent role and he finds his form again.
I'd still much rather Pickett or Dovaston with one of our picks, but hypothetically can see how things can come together.
I actually agreed with most of your post which is unusual, but you went too far when you started potting super-sub Sharp.Dovaston yes, Pickett no unless he slides to our later pick.
Not sure how Nairn takes Langdon spot, we already got Culley pushing in there and Langdon is a fast endurance runner which Nairn is not. Langdon also will provide some senior leadership for next few years. Can see Nairn more a Melksham/Joel Smith replacement.
Agree on Farrow re Salem though.
If we want to talk about players to **** off out of the team we should be talking about Sharp, closely followed by Sparrow.
Whatever you do don't mention Lever's fumbles.Keep the faith, he forgave Sparrow after that kick to Petty which was unforgivable 6 months later.
lol using the rising star as a metric. yikes. speaks volumes. I already debunked the entire award in my last post. don't make me read another nonsense post about coming 4th in a rising star award."90% of neutrals" but not 1 Rising Star nomination despite 10 games. Yikes.
You're a weird unit. You're not interested in who's actually gonna be better and help Melbourne, you just want the plaudits for being right in your little fantasy.A11dAtP0w3R I'll be happily to apologise. Do I get an apology when I criticised Windsor's class and ball use when everyone was frothing over him last year? People only remember what they want to remember. Same thing will happen with Langford. He'll find more of the footy but there will be moments where his ball use and speed gets questioned. Lindsay will be the better player.
All of Dan's comments were on the main board which is why I never recalled them. So when I had another look and saw some comments from Danster and immediately made the correction the next post, which you somehow missed.Check out the 2024 draft threads. Danster was a big fan pre-draft.
Well i wasn't, I actually agree with you he's not a great ball user, but so what? Why is that a badge of honour for you? Doesn't make him completely dog shit.A11dAtP0w3R Do I get an apology when I criticised Windsor's class and ball use when everyone was frothing over him last year? Lindsay doesnt have the traits and measurables to make him a star like Langford. Langford is a unicorn.A11dAtP0w3R I'll be happily to apologise. Using "neutrals" as some kind of reference but then completely ignoring the judgment of actual "neutrals"... Classic Dan. 14% of people knew that was made up.lol using the rising star as a metric. yikes. speaks volumes. I'm not saying that Langford wasn't a top 5 candidate for the rising star. I'm saying the actual award is flawed. Deeply flawed. It's very hard not to make top 5 if you're a well developed early pick, playing for a 14th ranked team and playing the majority of games. It's got very little to do with performance and more to do with games played.Using "neutrals" as some kind of reference but then completely ignoring the judgment of actual "neutrals"...
