Yes it is true that Kent Bucther is coaching Modewarre next year and he is 35 and he is only going to coach them for $10,000 i heard......good to see Mark Hovey is coaching joeys (good to see one hovey is good at somthin):thumbsu:

This surprises me as i would have thought he'd stay at a club in the VFL, otherwise go to South Barwon to play with very close mate Ben Boseley. Good get for Mary's if they can get him...

And as for whispers hearing about doug scott being approached by newtown, it is part true, he needed a club last year to train at while he was playing up north, and even though town went out of finals early, a few of players kept training with him. another very good player and we;d love to have him to help with our departures.
 
Have heard that former AFL footballer, Paul Chambers has/or will sign with Ocean Grove. If any truth to the rumour, will be a massive find for the Grubbers.

With Chambers on board and the possible return of a favourite son Dave Cameron, the grubbers will go one step further in 2008 because all the young guns hav made a pact 2 stick 2gether, go grubs

Matthew Lappin to Leopold to play with Brown???

Must not be real close if that news hasn't reached you yet.........what about the appointment of Aaron Greaves as coach. Surely you've heard that !!!!

Brown leaving is a definate, dunno about Sullivan.
Brown was offered free schooling for his daughter for whatever team he is playing for. i know this for a fact as he told me himself.

Congrats to Jimmy Allan for winning the Magarey Medal in SANFL, former Lara boy. Released by Geelong from the rookie list after having knee troubles, you would think there would be a few clubs interested.
 
Any clubs in the GFL that want to recruit a good young player. Damian Cameron from Tatyoon in the Mininera League is moving to geelong this year and needs a team to play for. He would be one of the best players in the league if not the best. is 6 foot 3 can play anywhere on the field. Best position back flank. Won club b and f last year at 19 in a premiership year. All you would need to do is get him a job and some coin and im sure he would play for you!! Good luck in getting his services. player to watch

Yeah.. bit of old news really but was first published in the addy today. I think they were waiting to announce it at the B and F before they notified the media. Apparently taking a few players across with him with the Lovick brothers being most notable inclusions.
 
Can someone please give me a run down on what type of player David Gunning is from Modewarre??? What position does he play?

Gunning played predominately Ruck but recently was being grommed to hold down CHB. I believe that he was in the leaderhip group at Modewarre.
