I've been mentally formulating a lengthy post about team structure and perhaps your last para plays into that.Does anyone recognise the guy behind and to the left of Dattoli in the 5th pic? I saw him at training the other day but couldn't place him.
Rowbottom is looking quite lean which is interesting. It seems like Cox has moved on from Rowy being in the regular starting onball rotation. So is getting lean to help fight his way back on the ball or is to better play a different role? Or am I imagining it and he's no leaner than he was before?
I'm not sold on McLean in defence but I like it more than Logan to defence. And with Charlie, Logan and Amartey the frontrunners for the KPF spots it makes sense to develop Dos's versatility (even in-game).
Probably explains his new physique. Not sure if it can make him more agile.Apparently McLean will be trialed in defence over the summer

Jai SerongWho’s CC struggling with - looks pretty strong looking at those thighs.
Not sure Curnow is struggling there. He looks to have Serong off balance and where he (Curnow) wants him.Who’s CC struggling with - looks pretty strong looking at those thighs.
Ultimately I'm with dosser. I don't see it happening but I'm sure if he did it would be to his and his young family's benefit. Also, not a disaster for the club.

I meant struggling as in wrestling, the German being Kampf - to ‘contest with’.Not sure Curnow is struggling there. He looks to have Serong off balance and where he (Curnow) wants him.
Not a comment on what I anticipate from either Curnow or Serong. Just an observation on that particular photo.

It's a really interesting photo. From the eye lines I would guess that Serong has the ball side and slightly in front but Curnow has the much better physical position. He can let go and go right easily but the ball looks to be on the other side so Serong is doing OK.Not sure Curnow is struggling there. To be clear - my only point was Serong looked strong. It's a really interesting photo. Regards ‘tactical positioning’ - who knows.
