Terrible draw , obvs someone from Murch helping to do the draw?

Kdfl get the draw wrong every year an wonder why the attendance in home and away games is average? No one wants to go watch 10+ goal smackings week in week out.
usually you can pick the top 6 before the season starts why not make them verse one another more, kdfl finals bring good crowds people want to see the better sides go at it.

I have tried to help in previous years - No input at present. Floated the idea of a 'seeded fixture' a while back where you could input the teams into the template and it would generate a fixture based off ladder position.

13 teams is a nightmare to fixture. Clubs have their requests too. Have a crack at doing Rounds 14 to 18, it's hours of fun!

Half the issue is trying to over complicate
- Sunday games they want to have close rivals
- try to play teams with all junior grades against each other in double ups
- try to make H A H A as much as possible

As soon as you try adding things like those into considerations you are making it more complicated. I know we couldn't host multiple games in initial draws sent to clubs due to the market and then the draws sent back with other changes and still similar issues so we end up with 2 sunday home games 3 years straight. Which is still a nightmare for us as there is more to organis and work around

Yep, the VT market is one of the variables that are worked around. I disagree that the draw is terrible. H, A, H, A is best for the social calendar too. Too many home games in a row burns out the committee and too many away games in a row gets the treasurer grumpy!
