Banter RDT CXCIII - Two kinds of music

Hopefully it sticks the landing unlike 90% of the stories written by the inspiration, Stephen King

It's gotta have a bitter sweet ending for me.

I have my own ideas on how it should go

One criticism of the of the whole series for mine is we haven't seen any real sacrifice of the core characters so far, apart from Billy and Eddie, probably the most emotional death so far, but they weren't main characters.

Hopper got seemingly blown up by the Soviets machine but he's fine.

There seems to be a bit too much plot armour for them. They just escape scott free from every situation.

If it ends in a happy ending, it feels a bit hollow to me.

Have have only watched ep1 of s5 so far

I've only watched Ep 1 of Season 5 too.

Agreed it doesn't have to have a happy ending, just a good one.

The Dead Zone is one of my favourite Stephen King books, and I reckon that has a bleak but great ending.

The idiot kids on reddit that say ‘oh why didn’t Will do this earlier blah blah blah’ are missing the point that he isn’t suddenly a psychic right? Like he’s clearly channeling Vecnas powers against him, right? Am I dumb?

Last nigh I watched a Movie called Playdate. Reckon it has to be the worst movie of the year. Made by Amazon and starring Alan Ritchson and Kevin James. I don’t why either of them would agree to act in it, especially Ritchson who’s brands going strong with Reacher.

Then Robin’s pep talk gave him the confidence to fully unlock whatever he has - whether that is genuine powers (stemmed from what happened to him in S1/S2) or like you say, tapping into Vecna’s powers via his access to the hivemind.

I suspect we will find out in Part 2, or at least find out what the characters theories are which usually trends towards gospel in this show.

A stupid movie that would allow them to have a blast making together is my take.

Absurd plot line aside, i liked seeing Alan Ritchson essentially play a fun Reacher. Made me smile watching his character.

Kevin James is just Kevin James, I dont find him offensive.

My Mrs has watched every terrible Hallmark, Netflix, Disney etc Christmas romance movie of the past 3 years (and then gone through the back catalogue). She turned this one off half-way through.
