It's not a friend of a friend though. It's a man I know personally and interacted with.

It's always a dismissal or downplaying or disagreeing with things said that don't suit the views you hold.

I didn't have my leg amputated, but I developed serious blood clots in my legs (thrombocytopenia syndrome), which my doctor said was from the vaccine. Plus, after every vaccine (I had three), I had serious chest pains and had to go to a heart specialist, who said my heart was fine. There were serious side effects to the vaccine on a small number of people. I still believe the vaccine rollout was necessary. There is a class action in England regarding the effects from AstraZeneca covid vaccine.
