First trip to the gym since my LSL ended at the end of September.

Far out. I feel like the old Asian guy in Inception. Old and full of regrets 🤣

How do people with full time jobs and young families (7 years and 3 years) keep a regular gym/exercise schedule?
Consistency and just forcing yourself to go.

I had a 7year hiatus, BC of kids, not finding a convenient time etc.

I started by going once the kids went to bed....9pm, sometimes 10pm. Did that for a few months then switched to going on saturday and Sunday, then 2 more times at night mid week.

Now my 2x midweek sessions are 5am. And my weekend sessions i fit in during the day.

Been doing this for about 5 years now.

Do you mean for you personally, or for society as we careen closer to wiping ourselves out?

The threat of the apocalypse is about 25% of the reason of why I keep fit. Need that balance of strength, fitness and dexterity for wielding my samurai sword and bow & arrow against raiders, marauders, abominations of nature and evil robots.

I hate to tell you this but a bunch of nerds like us who spend half their life posting on bigfooty aren't surviving the apocalypse

Was that Noah bloke from Ghana recruiting on here?

Definitely not him, but that dude could be onto something
Personally I'm surviving the future apocalypse by growing my 3 spinach plants and an orange tree

Long time no talk grandparents. I signed the lease for my Perth rental the other day. Spent all day setting up utilities accounts and stuff, this whole adulting thing is awful.

Any tips from the oldies re decorating rentals? Obviously its all about communication but as someone with dire interior decorating skills I want to avoid feeling uncomfortable in my own home.

A couple of cinder blocks and some plywood for your coffee table, hang some prints on the wall, plug a lava lamp in the corner and chuck a beanbag somewhere. Bob's your uncle.
