I’m probably not that surprised. My guess would be defence as the third tall providing support to JOD & Lobb. I don’t think the club have any faith in the other options.

With 5 on the bench, you can afford to play an extra tall and Emmett might be someone that only plays 60% TOG and provides support for taller matchups or even up forward if needed.

Yeah Emmett is pretty developed for a young tall. High-level rowing, basketball and footy - he's a fit bugger. So versatile too in almost every position. Like Golden says he could be great as that 5th bench spot. He's one of our young players I'm most excited about.

Would love to hear what the wing situation is if you’re able to figure it out. That’s one that seems completely up in the air

Baker (probables) touching up Davo in the first quarter. On the other wing it looked like Williams but tough to see at ground level. Will stay on this side of the ground and see if they swap for the 2nd quarter

Probables 5.2 to 1.2

Davidson gave Darcy one round the chops early in a marking contest. Will stay in the probables if he takes out the star forward.

Cody infield in a vest standing on the pocket coaching the forwards. Very vocal with Arty.

Baker looks to have picked up where he left off last year

West with a great follow up tackle after a dropped mark and Darcy with a couple of goals and an awesome smother.

Keen to hear more post match sim, hopefully they get more involved and show what the coaches plans are for them -

Croft: Where do they see him fitting in and is he taking another step forward in his development?

Half time now. Not sure if they are going to play a full 120. 2 x 30 so far. They said it was a 100min match sim so maybe 2 x 20 in second half

Very windy so some tough conditions

Intensity seemed to be lower that quarter but maybe because I was at the Posssibles scoring end.

Hard to tell who some of the newbies are as only got small numbers on the chest on the sky blue jumper.

Second half played at a much slower pace, fairly humid despite the wind

Lots of rotations on both teams, Darcy didn’t play second half. Adz and Libba as well as Sanders also didn’t play at all

Buku kept swapping but played defence all day - I didn’t watch much of Q3 as I wen over to watch Libba and Treloar training away from the main group.

Reckon Jacques is a lock for Rd 1. Hynes moved beautifully all day.

Ed collected Cliz I think it was in a contest but think he came back on.

Will try and think of more things I saw

Might try and sneak in on Monday and see if they are here again
