Still getting run down thinking he has 30 mins to dispose it. Even in a 2nd gear match sim. He’s not good enough.
Its his fourth pre-season - 360 degree awareness can't be drilled it's innate so you may well be right.

I speculated a few months ago that Crippa plays more forward given our depth of inside mids and our needs down there. Thrilled to see itCripps more forward and Ben in the midfield, interesting.

Playing forward might freshen Cripps up, but I just can't see him as an effective forward. Doesn't really have any forward craft, hasn't got a leap, and is an average kick. Love the bloke, but not seeing it..Cripps more forward and Ben in the midfield, interesting.
Need someone of quality on him when he goes forward but our unpredictability in our forward line might be something to look forward to.Playing forward might freshen Cripps up, but I just can't see him as an effective forward. I don't actually think Ollie is a bad kick, certainly better than many on here make him out to be. However, he does telegraph far too early and for too long where he is going to kick. At AFL you simply cannot give the opposition an even break.
I'll see your Jagga, and raise you a Cody
Some exciting talent coming through

Don’t forget the skinny big kid in rehab mate. And a Dean and an Ison![]()
Id prefer to go with excellent mark, will almost require their best one on one player from the opposition. This frees up Harry and HOK too. His kick is average to good while improving. Makes excellent decisions.Playing forward might freshen Cripps up, but I just can't see him as an effective forward. Doesn't really have any forward craft, hasn't got a leap, and is an average kick. Pretty sure he could do it shaking off a numero uno….Acres a massive chance of dislocating a shoulder on the toilet wiping a number 2’s…
Definitely spraying it sideways….Pretty sure he could do it shaking off a numero uno….

We have definitely been looking to hit targets and control possession especially inside 50. Need to do it against real opposition now
Yep or belted in the nuts….What’s the old boxing saying - “Everyone has a plan until you start getting smacked in the mouth “
Reverse card directly back at him could be career ending…Pretty sure he could do it shaking off a numero uno….
If Acres can’t get a game that’s a good sign for our youth.Pretty sure he could do it shaking off a numero uno….
Ive always wondered why he doesnt push fwd more and put some pressure on the defenders or mids that follow him there. As you say, I think he is an excellent mark but its his kicking lets him down far too often.Id prefer to go with excellent mark, will almost require their best one on one player from the opposition. think he just has a glacial ball drop which means he gets caught from behind. Don't even think it's awareness even. Just everything goes into slow motion for that high and slow ball drop. Figured it would've been all his coaches target area of improvement by now.Its his fourth pre-season - 360 degree awareness can't be drilled it's innate so you may well be right.
ISON hasn’t gone near it in the past three training sessions. I’d be a long way from declaring him.And a Dean and an Ison![]()
Danger has the pace to get separation from defenders, not sure Cripps does.I reckon ideally we use Cripps in the same way that Geelong used Dangerfield last year.
Play him as a permanent forward for the first three quarters, with the option to flex himself into the middle to help stem an opposition run. Then have him go into the middle in the last quarter and be able to go at full pace when the game is on the line as our gamebreaker.
As a full-time forward he has the height to trouble small defenders, and is obviously going to be a threat on the ground or at contests. If he finds himself followed by a genuine defender he can push up to the midfield to be the +1 and change match-ups there.
IT would also give him a bit of extra perspective on the game, sitting outside it a little more and help him learn to insert himself at big moments, something he has never had (despite his many strengths).
100% this. Opposition players would know never to give up on the chase with him as they can make up a huge amount of late ground and impact the kick, due to the ball drop. Marchbank was the exact same, getting the ball to boot took an eternity.think he just has a glacial ball drop which means he gets caught from behind. Don't even think it's awareness even.
