Grocery shopping with my ex-wife was a chore. I only could do it for a month. Her fiancee asked me does she always make it a chore to which I replied yes but it's your issue now 😄
Ours is pretty low stress. Mostly go grocery shopping separately but just occasionally we go together for a big shop. Just stroll up and down aisles, getting whatever either of us want. I do miss the inner city food markets though - they made shopping a pleasure.

I still don't know why the selectors have such a fascination with allrounders. Good ones are rare, and finding the next Jacques Kallis even rarer.
It happened after what Flintoff did in 2005. Since then there has been an obsession with finding an allrounder.

There has been no one good enough to consistantly perform. But they keep persisting.

T20 hasn't helps with all the bits and pieces players going around.

I’ve never had jellied eels!

This comment thread made me google jellied eels...

I am now intrigued and kind of want to give them a shot

Have we decided on the best dessert yet?

This is the last dessert I have on my phone - no, my birthday was ages ago!

Call me simple.

Vanilla ice cream, coffee liqueur and a little bit of chocolate topping.

Hits the spot every time.

I’ve never had jellied eels!

I visited the Den with my old man a while back and got to hang out with some Millwall supporters. They took it upon them to take us out to have some Pie and mash and some jellied eels.

I looked at my plate and all I could think of was no wonder these campaigners are always so angry.

Plus selectors seem obsessed with keeping Green in the team despite repeated failures, while Webster has done nothing wrong.

A home cooked apple pie with a great pie crust can be a wonderful thing. With cream or vanilla ice cream.

Similarly, one of the best desserts I ever had was a homemade mulberry tart with cream.

A superb steamed pudding is pretty good.

Chocolate blini - rich gooey centre and a delectable crust

tiramisu

Tarte tatin - love the combination of apple, dark caramelised sauce and pastry.

Home made ice cream - so creamy and the flavours seem that much stronger than shop bought.

An Eton Mess can be pretty bloody good (I love meringue)

Have to agree with Black Forest Cake... a good one is hard to beat!

Look, I don't want to shock you.

But AB retired a few years ago , I know, breaking news to WA, but it happened.
Sorry, what was that?

I was busy watching a beautiful sunset over the ocean.

What did it taste like? That may be the reason all these old school pie/mash/liqour places are no longer common place.

I'm not one of those biased WA nutters. Green has to go back to the shield and find form. But with his recent IPL $$$ he probably cares more about keeping his form in that league going.

Also Inglis as a specialist bat? Are the selectors saying he is the best middle order batter in the country who isn't in the test team? If so things are looking dire.

The pie was alright. Nothing special and no better than anything you'd get at a bakery.

The mashed potato is just a mashed potato.

I'd take tomato sauce over that Parsley sauce/liquour any day of the week.

The jellied eels are ****ing horrible. Bony and I hated the texture. Bland yet somehow fishy. I actually really like eel, especially how they do it Japan but this stuff was a culinary crime but it's working class food for a reason.

Cap made one of those once. Cap you are saying it's not what it looks like, so what exactly is going on here?
