I have bolded it.
Hogan is out I believe, that leaves 3 medium- undersized key Forwards in Naughton, Waterman and Georgiades to match up on Collins, Weitering and Battle with Tom Stewart coming in over top.
Up forward the Vics have King and Darcy and as good as Barrass and Taylor are, they will probably struggle to contain these 2 due to their height- especially Darcy.
Our rucks are better? Really? I'll take Gawn and Xerri over Cameron Jackson and English any day.
The only real weakness I see in the Vic team is team balance, they have a host of midfielders that are going to need to redistribute onto the flanks and pockets rather than having specialists in those areas.
Then there are the coaches- Coxy just out of nappies vs the most consistently successful coach over the past 15 years that wouldn't know what a Mad Monday in August was if it bit him on the arse.
I reckon Vics win this by 10 goals+. I'd love to get one up on them and the heat will probably work in our favour a bit but I think its very unlikely.
I agree that Vic should win easily, but Chris Scott missed finals as recently as 2023 (talk about a weak premiership defence).

Hinkley with some good conspiracy theory’s here and it’s probably a decent point .

Liam Ryan talked about Brad Hill and Wanganeen-Milera getting in his ear about a move to the Saints during the build up to the indigenous game last year.

No doubt the seeds for his eventual departure were sown then

Hinkley makes a very good point

Id completely forgotten about that- it feels like the campaigners have been in every final series since 2007.
I think that entire year has been wiped from my memory TBH.

I am sick of Geelong clogging up the top 4 so remember clearly when they have missed the finals both times since 2007 🤣 It was 2015 and 2023 seasons.

2015 we thought the cliff was finally there - elimination final loss, prelim loss, straight sets and then miss finals...only for Dangerfield to turn up in 2016

After trying on the Mitchell & Ness jacket at the Forest Place Locker Room, I ordered it through their website with the 15% off first order discount.
It looks a lot better than it does on the website.
I won't get it in time for the game obviously, but it'll be too stinkin' hot to wear on Saturday arvo anyway lol.
Plus it'd cover up my WA guernsey.
