We seemed to be taking that very seriously while Geelong were in second gear. Can't take much out of that game. I'll wait for the real stuff before passing judgement.
I mean you say that but it was actually a very similar match to our victory against them R7 last year. Maybe we just match up well against them?

Don’t think Chesser or Reidy did enough tonight to break in. Will they play both Dean and Derksen? Either way it’s going to be a big inner circle.

Think they both contributed well.

In: Weitering & Newman
Out: Young (super unlucky) Saad, McGovern, Moir, Fogarty

Us 79, them 59, 9:32 left

Cheers and that's the kind of update I like !!! :)
A fit walsh and jagga gives us so much power running.

Dont want to get carried away too much by a first year player but those two transform our midfield from being onepaced to dynamic - good mix of bulls and speedsters

And fingers crossed we can add Walker to that duo in 2027 !!!

Ollie Hollands - what a game. Could be the best I've seen from him but I may be forgetting some others. 24 touches. Quality ball use and a great goal.

Jagga - are we seeing an immediate benefit of no Cerra (Jagga getting more midfield minutes)? 37 touches. Freak.

Pitto was good again. Miles in front of Reidy but he was ok too.

Lord 13 tackles.

Love Williams in the backline. Byrne taking those inboard kicks - confidence!

Derka definitely in front of Young for the 2nd key defender role for me.

Franky was good. Not sure he can be left out. Moir probably not keeping him out just yet. Fog was completely anonymous after last week being one of the best. The game looked too quick for him. The battle for the small fwd roles will be an interesting watch.

I thought Boyd was good when he was on.

No injuries I think??? The only result that matters.

And Walsh for the Brownlow.

Jagga is almost a 3rd year player. He had already finished school in his last year of U18s then missed last year. Already 20. He's ancient.

I've remortgaged my house to bet on him for the Rising Star.

There was a point where Jagga had a kick smothered and I screamed get him off the effing ground. Think he racked up another 7 or 8 posssies after that.

And, quietly, Walsh looks like the 2023 version.

Lord. Went under the radar. But was enormous.
Walsh has had an uninterrupted pre season for the first time in years. If he stays fit this season, look out.

Those goggles Evans will go down as one of those AFL cult heroes.
Robbie Mcghie
Paul Callery
Jacko
Blethyn
Jim Jess

I remember seeing Paul Callery killing it out at Waverley vs Carlton, during an Escort Cup game. It was bloody cold if I recall correctly.
