Jagga’s gonna learn what worked for him in juniors isn’t always gonna work in the pros. Keen to see that evolution from him as the season progresses.

Never saw his old man play but Harry plays like someone who knows what it takes to win. Taught well.
Peter Dean would never ever take a step back and that's been ingrained into his son. Harry will be a special player for the CFC for many many years to come.
The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

Good first half. Pressure and intensity up. Moved the ball pretty well. Used our hands more out of congestion and got more overlap run from HB. Should have been up by more. And then HT happens and I'm not sure if there is a mass flogging that happens in the room but we come out again so sluggish. I can't believe it is purely fitness it is above the shoulders. Almost like they need to learn to win again after having a lead. Maybe the one good thing that can come from winning tonight is that.

People getting frustrated with Weitering as if he is choosing his matchup. He needs to take the deepest forward full stop. Unacceptable that he was played so high. He is more than capable of intercepting and taking out the deepest forward. Stop ruining something that has worked for years. Young unfortunately cannot be named as a defender again. Just not good enough in the contest. Too many missed spoils and let the ball put back far too much. Thought Dean had some great moments but he needs to cut back on the screamer attempts.

On a positive note shout out to Zac Williams. Took his chance when nobody else really did in the 2nd half.
Agree. Just because McGovern was moved forward doesn’t mean Weitering had to take his spot in intercepting. Absolutely wrong match up and no agility to switch it up when Lynch was having a hay-day.

Voss either too arrogant or stubborn to listen to his assistants? Or just dos th lip service and does whatever he wants anyway.

When do we talk about Harry?

Thought he was much better tonight despite a couple of shocking moments. He's not going to dominate being the only good tall forward. He will be held and scragged- that's just the reality of our new forward set up.

He kicked 2 goals. On most occasions he managed to bring the ball to ground (despite a couple of poor body work losses) and he pushed up the ground and took a few nice marks. Honestly his form hasn't been amazing but it's a long season.

We have bigger issues. Fog has to be dropped. Simply not at the standard. Can't kick over a jam tin and misses easy shots on the rare occasion he gets them and often at momentum killing times. He could have all the pressure in the world but those 6 possessions just aren't enough or dangerous enough. Ollie is the other one. He had a shocker. Didn't win enough of the ball and didn't take enough metres gained, instead always running himself into trouble and panic kicking. But given our lack of run he will hold his spot. Needs to be better though. Chess likewise butchered the ball.

I simply no longer enjoy watching this team.

We're not a young team making mistakes with enthusiasm.

We're not a mature team making basic solid football decisions.

We're not a confident team with skill and verve.

What are we?

Actually... please don't answer that.
You nailed it and it’s the reason I didn’t go tonight. First time I’ve ever missed this fixture. It’s sad, I’ve lost my passion for this team and this game.

I love Ollie and I've been openly very biased for him. But I am genuinely concerned.

I simply don't see the progress in his development that I had hoped to see after his first year.

For someone noted for being as dedicated and professiional as he is it's disappointing he hasn't elevated.
He had an excellent end to the season last year. Poor start to the year but he's improved a heap over the journey.

Can these players run
Or
Won’t these players run

Supporters deserve some bloody honesty for a change
Sick to death of the word salad utter crap from this country club !!

Either option doesn't matter.

If the coach can't find the right levers to pull to fix it he has to go.

We've seen it for too long now.

We are playing youth. He won't drop too many experienced players for more young guys though. We already have plenty. Watch Haynes come in next week, and Newman thereafter. Acres put his hand up today for a recall too. I'm just saying there is a limit on how many young guys the team can carry, and I think Voss has reached his.
so which ones wouldnt you put in once fit?

Wow lot of whingers sooking it up and calling for blood. Passionate without passion. Have a rest. We beat the tigers. How good is that. I’ll take it any day. Go Blues, all of us, every player, coach, member and supporter. Well done.

Last week I sympathised with a lot of the comments on here that it's just one game, sydney are a good side, on the road, need time to gel, sky isn't falling yet, seasons not over... But this week, we almost lost a game that we were expected to win.

I don’t think it’s sooking to point out that we played really poorly. That we went half a game without scoring a goal. And most of all, that this just keeps happening.

There is no position that we could be in at half time where I’d feel comfortable that we will win the match. We lost the third quarter again for the umpteenth time. We just look lost out there in the second half.

Yes, great, we won. But we should have won this match. How are we going to go in the matches we’re not expected to win? We didn’t do anything differently to what we’ve been doing for years. I want our fortunes to change. I want us to get better.

That’s what I’m passionate about. The last thing I want to do is to celebrate a mediocre performance, because we managed to get away with wayward kicking from a team that gutted its list 12 months ago.

I don’t want name calling, or anything personal said about the coach, the players, or even the fans. And I don’t want to take away celebrating the little things either - each win is important. But I want us to get better. Let’s not pretend that tonight’s match is us turning a corner. It was the win we were supposed to have, but very nearly didn’t.

You write all this just to bag Young and don't mention any mids who were smashed again in the second half...strange. Not much defenders can do when oppo mids are delivering with no pressure...or maybe ask yourself when we have midfield dominance why don't we have forwards in space....Young ain't the problem
