Defence was always going to let us down this season. Thats on the owners and sporting directors for not bolstering it with world class players.

We’d also be winning the league (albeit in the worst season in some time), if we’d spent money down back.

Brings it to a 9-12 point “gap”, of which I think we’ve dropped at least that many since Rosenior took charge.

Maresca with a better backline has us in contention for a title. Part of the reason he was sacked, because he thought the same.

Not a contender any other year but this year we’d have been in it. Arsenal is literally winning the title because of their defence. How is my statement unrealistic?
