Season 3: played 19 games in his first 2 x seasons for 14 goals … then averaged just 9 touches and 0.9 goals per game in season 3. Came good in season 4 after 36 games.

Harry McKay played 2 games in his first 2 seasons. Seasons 3-4 were 33 games for just 47 goals. Came good in season 5 after 35 games, when he played 19 games for 58 goals.

Jack R played 26 games in his first 2 years for 25 goals, averaging 9 disposals and 4 marks.

Hawkins first 2 years was 19 games and 25 goals. He only ‘exploded’ in his 6th season after 79 games … before that he didn’t average more than 1.5 goals per season in his first 5 years.

Josh Kennedy kicked a whopping 18 goals in his first 29 games in his first 3 x seasons.

Mitch Georgiades played 49 games in his first 4 years for 65 goals. Came good in his 5th season.

Cadman played 35 games in his first 2-years for 36 goals. He averaged 6.5 disposals and 2 marks per game.

Thilthorpe kicked 5 goals on debut … and 39 goals in his next 45 games.

Darcy Fogarty played 24 games in his first 3 seasons for 26 goals.

Shannon Neale played 5 games in his first 2 years for 1 goal.

Jed Walter has played 30 games for 31 goals and is playing VFL. He’s averaged 6.5 disposals and 2 marks per game.

Meanwhile….:

Peter Wright averaged 12 touches, 5 marks and 1.6 goals per game in his second season after just 3 games in season 1… he looked like being anything ….

Amiss kicked 41 goals from 22 games in season 2 after just 3 games in season 1…. he was headed for stardom … or was he ..?? Hmmmmmm

Mitch Lewis kicked 95 goals from just 44 games across his 4-6th season. 15 goals in his last 15 games and Hawks fans can’t stand him.

In other words … it’s ludicrous to draw conclusions on KPF selections just 3 rounds into their second season.
