I read that in yesterday's age and from what I've heard today, that appears the case, and that is good news, as the last few years I'm sick of the Blues every year playing 5/6 games interstate whereas the other big Vic clubs, Collingwood and Essendon get cushy friendly fixtures.

I would have thought that is even more good news, in that we get to play the wooden spooners (and our traditional whipping boys) Richmond twice, in rnd 1 and in the split round, that is another guarenteed 2 wins in the bag already
Still with that draw now (and we get Essendon x 2, which means another 2 wins in the bag) I think finals have to be a strong possiblity next year, assuming we get a good run with injuries.
I think we have to set our sights on the finals, I think a 6 - 8 position is most certainly attainable esp when you consider that the likes of Adelaide, Sydney and probably the Kangaroos are likely to fall out of the 8, so that opens up 3 new spots in the finals next year

But Richmond received some consolation in that the AFL has agreed to schedule its centenary clash at the MCG against Carlton as a night game at the end of June during the second split round.
