With a new look team, a new look coaching panel a gun midfield, a good forward line, a average ruck division and a average back line can we crush, kill and plunder other teams in 08? Can we kick more goals like the opposition? If you look at soccer I guess the team that comes closest to us in those terms is Brazil they don't have a strong defense but they just believe in the old adage of kicking more goals that the opposition. Discuss!!!!
 
I thought that was the idea in 2007?

But yes- take's Essendon for example. They have a shite midfield, slow as molasses, have gotten rid of Campo and MJ (partial admission of rebuild) and no elite ruckmen and when you add Judd, Stevens and tough nut Hadley into the midfield, I think we could quite possibly give them a bit of a hiding in 2008. Ditto for Richmond- we comprehensively beat them in the I50's in round 1 this year. Would certainly be nice to see- havent seen it in too long.
 
i'd like to See Carlton pay back with Interst Beltings they have copped and return the favour no 1 would be The big Loss to Brisbane ;) give em a tast of what its like to be on the end of a smashing by 100+. ;) And get the resepect we deserve by the media and opposition supporters . ;)

Actually the Big loss to brisbane was the best thing... it got pagan sacked.... THANKYOU Brisbane!

Don't get me started on that game. I was at it and it was the most horrible thing I've ever seen. I was so depressed and literally speechless after the game for hours. Every JB goal felt like a dagger to the heart. To get a few things off my chest:

- Heath Scotland, running as far as he could and then bombing it on his left side for every single possession

- Murph forgetting that you actually have to run in AFL. I doubt he ran 1km all day (my only criticism of him at times last year)

- Ackland jumping early in every single ruck contest.

- players not looking for targets but just bombing the ball long for every possession and not from the HF line to the F line but from the B to HB line as well. They showed no willingness to find a target and no-one seemed willing to provide 1 either

- No tackling pressure. They fell off the Brisbane players like little school girls

Many of these can be attributed to Pagan's game plan at its worst.


KILL THEM but more importantly KILL RICHMOND.

After I watched the game I seriously thought the players did it on purpose... like perhaps they overheard one more bad performance under Pagan he was gone... and doing it in front of a non home crowd the group decided to bomb and bomb well!
 
SHITKILDA - just to give it back to that loser Thommo. In fact, I will lay a borrie in a box and send it to his house. This is for that horrible pounding you gave us in 2003.

SHITNEY - I will do the same to Barry Hall's house. Also I will send a box of woodchips to Roos, signed BAN CHIPPING FROM FOOTY!!!

GEELONG - they used to be my Claytons team, coz when it came to finals, we'd always win flags at their mercy! But we really need to beat these guys well, preferably at their fortress at Skilled Stadium.

FREO - I want to see Fev or some other lunatic on our team go up to that hack that always makes a mockery out of us and no-one else - Jeff Farmer - and offer him a can of petrol and go, maybe this will rev you up!!!

BRISBANE - yeah well it's been a long time, eh?

HAWKS - and when we do, spill some white powder across Buddy's feet as he walks off dejected, and go , 'this'll cheer you up!'

GGGGGGGGGGGGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO THE MIGHTY BBBBBBBLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLUUUUUUUUUUUEEEESSSSSSS!!!!

That's all, the rest I don't really have that much animosity towards.
 
I'm very much looking forward to 2008 and I'm expecting some wins - a couple of floggings would be an absolute bonus. It's been such a long time. Remember sitting there in '95 with arms folded chilling watching the game unfold and wondering how much percentage we'll get...ahh the days

We have the potential, we've allways had it. It just depends on how it is used. Any team has the potential to crush any other team, wether it be Richmond pounding Geelong or Freo winning the flag!

Lol, are you talking somewhere 10-20 years in the future? Hall has one bad year and everyone trolls him..
Oh & we're changing a major aspect of our game plan next year, see the round 22 game at all? Probably not, so i wouldn't make generalised decisions..

You guys really have some superficial grudges, don't you?

I think we will crush Essendon since our midfield is a lot better than the Bombers's midfield on paper.

But only if they don't play the Messiah Courtney Johns. ;)

Or Jay Neagle who has been likened to Fevola by Matthew Knights because he can kick long and is quick off the mark.

We all know Essendon need more forwards to build a competitive finals side.
 
But what about our average ruck and back line? Can they cope with the ball coming back into the opposition forward line? I really hope Irish plays at full back all year.

We drafted Bower, Anderson, Austin and Jamison in the last two drafts.

Are you planning on drafting any young players this year to replace the likes of Everitt, Barry, O'loughlin, Hall, etc.? ;)

Geez mate, where do you start drafting?

Hall and O'Loughlin are going to need special permits to carry their walking sticks onto the field next year..........Spida, Barry.............one flag in 70-odd years and you feel the need to get on here and bag a club that has a flag every 6-7 years.......

I can smell the fear.;)
