This probably isn't new thread worthy, but I popped down to training on Monday as I had a job interview out that way just after so, only made logical sense.
Here's my observations on each and every player on the Crows list:
ADELAIDE
Armstrong, Tony
Didn't train
Bassett, Nathan
Trained with the boys, looked fit and well.
Biglands, Rhett
Trained with the boys, looking a mean machine. Very fit.
Bock, Nathan
Didn't really notice him that much.
Burton, Brett
Likewise. Injury free though.
Campbell, Bryce
Looking very fit, running smooth, so unless something happens, a big PS is on the cards which should = gametime in 08.
Cook, Myke
Didn't train.
Dangerfield, Patrick
See above.
Doughty, Michael
Isn't worth the ink. Was on the bike though.
Douglas, Richard
Has put on a bit more weight, really looks to be commanding the troops out there - strong leadership.
Edwards, Tyson
Same old.
Gallman, Greg
Forgot to take a look.
Gill, Nick
Didn't see him anywhere. I think he was on the bikes though. Someone went down with ice on the ankle and I'm about 80% sure it was Gilly.
Goodwin, Simon
Same old.
Griffin, Jonathon
Still skinny as a rake, but certainly was looking good out there.
Hentschel, Trent
On the bike.
Jacky, Jarrhan
Didn't train, however, I would just like to say, that he will play in 08. You don't need to be the perfect weight to play a forward pocket crumbing role.
Jericho, Luke
Not worth the ink.
Johncock, Graham
Overweight.
Kite, Aaron
Didn't train.
Knights, Chris
Looking a mean character. Hopefully he can take his fitness to the next level.
Mackay, David
Still fairly skinny, definitely put on weight though, but **** he is a great kick.
Maric, Ivan
Come back in great shape.
Massie, Kris
Not sure he actually trained, know he went on that thing to Africa.
McGregor, Ken
Seems to be moving a bit more freely, which is promising.
McLeod, Andrew
In Melbourne on the day, but you know what your gonna get.
Moran, Brad
Running laps with one of the trainers (because of injury I think).
Otten, Andy
DT.
Porplyzia, Jason
If he gets fit enough, he'll be a star.
Reilly, Brent
Seems to have assumed some leadership. Commanding the troops.
Rutten, Ben
Seems to be a bit quiet for my liking as a captain.
Sellar, James
On the bikes. I believe hes had his tonsils out, but he was on the bike for a good 45-hr with Charlie Walsh, and seemed to be working bloody hard. Hopefully a sign of things to come.
Shirley, Robert
He seems to have the respect of his mates out there. A lot more respect than BF gives him anyway.
Stevens, Scott
Man he looks like a skinny teenager. lol.
Symes, Brad
Didn't notice.
Thompson, Scott
Gun. Hopefully he can 'light it up' in 2008.
Tippett, Kurt
Didn't notice. May have been on the bike.
van Berlo, Nathan
Can't even remember lol.
Vince, Bernie
Perfect body shape. Hopefully he's fit enough, but he has a beautiful leg.
Walker, Taylor
Definitely needs to work on fitness. I hope no one expects huge things from him next year. He slouched a bit because of exhaustion, but he was definitely working hard. He looks a touch slow for my liking. But, for a guy his height, has an absolutely wonderful kick on him.
