Average player. Its all well and good to say he looked alright vs. the worst midfield in the comp. Lets assess our midfield against West Coast, Adelaide, Dogs, St. Kilda. Seriously deficient. If players like Foley are commanding any sort of trade value, then I am happy to say see you later. -

Agree. A mature performance. The boy could be anything. Is a good size and uses both sides of his body. I would not swap him for any player in the comp right now based on his potential. -

That is wrong IMO. His great strength with the ball is that he makes time for himself. He baulks and feins and finds a way to get a kick or handball away. Good players look like they have all the time in the world. His brother can do it too. But you only have to look at last nights game to see... -

Lots of composure. Leon Cameron like. At times shocking disposal. Very un-Cameron like. I don't think the comparison is all that valid, but at least Joel has influence and has taken the step of trying to sort things out back there, because after god knows Gaspar can't do it. -

I agree on that. I suppose the one thing it does do is it removes another situation for a contested mark, but most teams had shyed away from kicking to contests from kick ins a few years ago anyway. But I do like the fact that you can turn around a conceded behind to a goal in 25 seconds. -

Rodan was poor. There was a comical situation in the second quarter I think when Tambling broke clear, over shot his pass to an open Krak, who ran too close to Rodan and kicked it into his back, then Johnson had it clear inside 50, wouldn't shoot for goal and gave it straight back to Carlton... -

Thought we were very lucky. No offence to Carlton but just about any other team would have smashed us last night given the number of times we gave it straight back to them. The umpires gave us all the 50/50's too, some perplexing decisions but we'll take them I suppose.
