yeah good win from a carlton fan here you guys were shocking, but so were we... i guess we were just worse... both teams have a lot of rebulding to do. hughes looks alright... crappy coaching ruined us i think like taking whitnall to backline when we could of used walker, waite on richo. good luck rest of season and we will see you again later in the year when mr murphy and mr kennedy are playing together

We didn´t play that bad, just wasted opportunities. We enter the 50 more times than any team has in a game this year!

For three more shots at goal, there's not much between the sides really. I thought it was a really good game that was overshadowed by the shocking conversion by both sides.

Richmond deserved the win though cause you guys out ran us all night and I thought Wallace coached well. We certainly had our chances to win it but when Waitey spilled that speccie in the 3rd quarter I knew he'd dropped the game.

Raines looks like he will be awesome.

Best of luck, see you all in 14 weeks.

If we had of converted at least a 1/4 of our behinds, people wouldnt be saying it was a shyte game/win.
Both teams do need alot of work. But one question.. WTF was with putting Pignall into the backline for 3/4 when he owned us in the 1st
Talk about gg carlton coaching staff. :thumbsu:

Thought we were very lucky. No offence to Carlton but just about any other team would have smashed us last night given the number of times we gave it straight back to them. The umpires gave us all the 50/50's too, some perplexing decisions but we'll take them I suppose.

It was a good free flowing game with fairly good field kicking. If we kicked straight for goal, everyone would say how good we looked. Sam Newman actually said it was a good game to watch and he usually bags every game ;). I love the immediate kick in after a behind. It makes the game so much more free flowing. We did it very well.

I agree on that. I suppose the one thing it does do is it removes another situation for a contested mark, but most teams had shyed away from kicking to contests from kick ins a few years ago anyway. But I do like the fact that you can turn around a conceded behind to a goal in 25 seconds.

We were average. You lot are horribile.

Walker/Waite on Richo. Yeah top idea numbnuts

I almost feel sorry for Carlton fans. Unless something radical happens in this life cycle, there is just no way they are going to be anything but mediocre for the next 10 years. Young Murphy is going to be a gun, but you look at their other younger players, Walker, Betts, Deluca, Thornton, Waite, they are just good honest goers.

I think they had intended to use the top up intake of Stevens, Teague, Scotland etc as a platform for these youngsters, but there is not much there either.

I can't remember if i posted this already but I think Carlton could very easily go down the Tigers late 80's route if they are not careful.

They are broke and in debt. Lots of dud players, and still paying the price of the crippling salary cap penalties. I really think the future is bleak for Carlton.
