    i think the value in having it stand alone is all in the lead up. it is up against the NRL's opening weekend and its the first ever cross town sydney clash. The AFL are aiming to detract from the press coverage of the NRL, and a stunt like this will probably succeed. who cares if afterwards all...

    a guy i knew who had a massive beard got kicked out of the pub one night, and he was so pissed off they wouldn't allow him back in that he went home, shaved his beard and the bouncers didn't recognise him. If it can work at a pub it can work at the mcg!

    Re: RIP: Tackling in AFL not surprised at the decision. shane mumford got a couple of weeks last year for tackling gablett like that. didnt agree then and dont agree now. but the afl have said that sling tackles like that won't be tolerated so he was bound to get reported.
