I was absolutely positive before the game that we were going to make him look a superstar (again). So so good to see him have the kind of game he deserved
I'm all for McKay, but the line about "McKay kept essendon forward Sam Weideman goalless" is too much for me [emoji23][emoji23]
Weid could play in the f50 completely by himself and be kept goalless by a slight breeze or itchy socks
Not sure what exactly the other rumours are around Oliver, but I can guess. And I'd be inclined to believe there's something there. I saw him out and about during the week in the middle of the day, bang in the middle of this year's pre season, and what I saw was (allegedly) not a guy who was in...
This was the only scenario that made sense to me but it didn't read like pick 13 coming back our way would be part of the deal. If that's the case it's probably worth doing, but knowing the AFL they'll veto it after letting Geelong do it last year for pick 8.
Also can't help but wonder what...
Am I missing something? Or just taking crazy pills? Why on earth would we do a hugely inflated 3 year deal for Gresham just to dump the final year of Shiels contract, only to get a token pick in return?
I'm no football scientician but I feel like if Weid doesn't have any mongrel in him now then he's not going to magically find some playing in the backline. He's meek with no physical presence and I can just see him getting rag dolled by the big forwards people are hoping he'd be able to match up on.
