I am looking for old copies of the magazine called "The Footballer" It ran from 1977-1981, and there were 8 issues per season.

Hi langers1971, "The Footballer" magazine - published by the VFL Players' Association - was an absolute ripper and as far as I know, the final edition was the only one published in 1981.
I think (but am not certain, based on 1981) that I have the complete set of 27 magazines (1977=6, 1978=8, 1979=7, 1980=5, 1981=1).
Of course, "The Australian Footballer" magazine ran for much longer.
