HOLLY Whitford’s 12-year football career is already impressive.

She is one of only two girls so far to have played 50 games for Sale City’s junior team, she’s played for Maffra Youth Girls and Gippsland Power, and has now been recruited by Cranbourne to play in the VFL women’s competition.

“I got invited to Power and I never turned back,” Whitford, in her third season with Power, said.

Playing in the midfielder as a ruck-rover or as a small forward, Cranbourne has encouraged her to stay versatile in her roles.
