Curious as to what may have fallen into that second category.
Coincidentally enough, the first band I was turned on to in here was from the very early days (round 113), when you nommed Wolf Alice who I'd never heard of and ended up giving votes to - remember commenting then that that was what I was hoping to get out of the SC. Same round I got to listen to Muse who I'd heard of but never listened to - gave votes to that nom too. Both of those bands can be a bit hit and miss but have enough good stuff to make me a fan.
There's been dozens of others since then:
Doves
The Grates
Melbourne Ska Orchestra
Aron's Crusade,
Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats
Broken Witt Rebels
Old Man Markley
Sara Watkins
Punch Brothers
Chris Stapleton
Houndmouth
King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard
The Herd
Royal Republic
Doyle Bramhall II
Catfish Soup
Ha Ha Tonka
Courtney Barnett
The Only Ones
Paolo Nutini
Ana Popović
Buffalo
Rebecca Roubion
The Answer
Genevieve Chadwick
Ruth B
Eddie Noack
Nonpoint
White Rabbits
Sharon Van Etten
Polish Club
K-Flay
Clarence Carter
Against Me
Black Lips
Kyu Sakamoto
Hajime Ueshiba
The Lonely Island
Deodato
Frank Turner
........................... plenty others I've missed too.

Yeah, I was seduced by a whore. It had only been nominated once before in the time I'd been playing. (And if I'd remembered that, I probably would've left it out of my votes.)

Why bring that up anyway? I didn't nominate that song. What's your point: that vote-whores can even attract votes from the likes of me? Yeah. Correct. Look at that round's playlist. From memory, they were all whores and/or crap. Wasn't a whole of choice.

My irritation over the songs for this Ashes theme is that people could've nominated ANYTHING from the UK or Oz. But look at that lazy, uninspired bunch of noms we got. It doesn't really bother me. It just makes things boring.

People can & will nom whatever they like and vote for whatever they like. I just don't understand the point of having a song contest where most people act like they're 13 years old and just discovering music. Seems regressive. That's all.
I came here because of GTA

Boted. Some very tasty stuff. A few unlucky to miss out on votes.

There's some ******* s**t in that list and some gold. I really liked k.flay too, downloaded her back catalogue and have enjoyed all her mixtapes and albums.

If anybody ever noms ska again the contest will be over.

Is it a coincidence your complaining about a round you arent involved in?
Not complaining. Just interested in seeing a result.

3 songs without votes

2 of those songs have Billies only and the other is an orphan
Are you going to rate each song as a current player?

Winner would be Steve Smith.

Billy would be Alastair Cook.
