Season starts tonight.

It's time to make a statement. Line in the sand type moment.

I want to see the hunger and manic pressure that was on display in the QF and the PF last year.

Tex being back is huge. Our F50 will be much better than last week, even without Lynch.

Crows by 21.

I actually feel quietly confident about this game the reasons are

Pyke was pissed after last week training this week would of knocked them into shape, This story thats come out the team is going to be Pissed expecially Tex.
I also feel like we have a much better spread across the ground this week. On top of we want some sort of revenge for last year

Vlastuin for them is a huge out.

Much better spread across the ground? We've replaced 2 midfielders with a key forward and a midfielder returning from injury!

How important is this game, from a club perspective?

People around here know I’m not normally one to put any stock whatsoever in early season results (anyone remember Round 6 last year, Adelaide v Richmond, both 5-0, Richmond came to town and had their pants pulled down. Yeah, how did that help us on GF day...)

BUT..

There is something nagging me that we just need a win tonight. To shut everyone the **** up for a while.

It's a bit of a stretch to call Hampton a midfielder. He's now at the very top of the delist pile for mine.

I want to see Fogarty smash the crap out of the golden boy Rance. For all the talk about his fitness he still had 4 tackles inside 50, so is at least applying defensive pressure.

I've tipped Richmond by 23 points due to our current inability to run out a game.

I am not confident for tonight, my gut didn’t feel right before last week and now this week. Hoping this boys can prove me wrong about this season

Knock it off o_O

Try some yoghurt.

We'll belt them.

He plays in the midfield, so he is a midfielder. Just like Nick Gill was a forward.

Surely after recent events and at this point, this team would put in a performance showing that they actually give a damn about success.

Bumped into my daughter's ex-Kindy teacher this morning ... with her three girls. She's a mad Crows supporter, even wore a crows themed dress to her Yr 12 formal !!

Anyway, she asked how I thought we'd go tonight. I said we need a ruthless, physical game. Line in the sand stuff. We are still a good side.

Then her 7 year old pipes up "I'm sick of hearing how bad we are from all these other supporters. They didn't even make the finals but we are all of a sudden so bad? Even the teams we thrashed in the finals make fun of us because we lost the GF? Maybe they need to worry about themselves?"

Then her twin says "We were bad on Grand Final day, Richmond were good. That doesn't mean anything now. Hawthorn lost to Geelong for years but still won premierships."

And finally the 5 year old says "I hate Richmond, carn the crows"

I praised her for raising such fantastic girls :-)

Must say, I agree with all three.

If we are within 36 points at the final siren I'll be surprised. I'm usually upbeat, but not for this game under our circumstances. Too many key outs and too much inexperience. The longer the game went last week, the better the Tigers played. Contrast that with how we went.

Cheer up everyone. Crows will win and cop it from the Vic media all the same.

We put in a good performance last week against a team in Essendon who will be around the same mark as Richmond. We were probably more impressive than Richmond were against Carlton. We had a lot of underdone players last week who will be better for the run. Walker is in my opinion our most important player and him along with Milera will make us stronger again.

Adelaide by 35.

Sure hope you are right, I'd take any win a this stage even by 1 point. Hopefully our forward line operates well, hoping we didn't go in too tall again.

Parenting done right!

Ummm why are we favourites? Feeling very tempted to put some money on the Tigers, but I won't.
Tigers were $2.34 on Monday. Ridiculous. Cashed up on them there and then.
