I would have though Bennell who has been training as a midfielder was more likely than any of those guys - the mix being:

Fyfe
Mundy
Bennell
Brayshaw
Conca
Banfield (as a tagger)
Stephen Hill
Walters (not that I want him in there but has been training there)
Cerra (Would be higher up the list if I had my way)
Bewley
Colyer

I think with Blakey going down, Mundy will spend more time in the center, so will Conca.

North and Valente to now get more chance of game time.

Training this week will give us more of an idea of who the likely replacements are!

They are outside mids not inside mids. Blakely was training as an inside mid.. same as Lachie was.
I wouldn't be limiting it to a like for like replacement. Duman/Hughes/Nyhuis could come into the backline so Conca/Cerra play more midfield.

I would like to see if Duman can rotate through the midfield and backline.
He finds the ball well, great footy brain and has great disposal.
Big fan of this kid and for my mind he is best 22.

Lucky Freo have a relatively easy draw in the first 5 rounds. Conner will be available around round 8.

No excuses to not be up and around the top 8 prior to him being available

Walters just needs to have 32 disposals and 6 goals each game playing in the midfield for the first half of the year. #crazypreseasonexpectations
Only the first half of the year? Not going to be good enough for All Australian selection.

This could go in the injuries thread as well....

Connor Blakely was out swimming this morning and walking through the facility. For someone with a hammy that bad he was moving very freely.

In a video Freo released of the boys after Friday’s training session, he was joking and seated at a table with Tabs and didn’t seem bothered at all. Maybe Freo have gone worst case scenario.

Best case scenario for recovery we’re hoping.

12 weeks (if no surgery) would mean 25/01/2019 - 19/04/2019. Available round 6 or 7 depending on his training loads and a possible 1-week run with Peel.

I’d push Mundy to the middle. The likes of Conca, Walters, Cerra to give a chop out. We have some good depth in the fwd line. Bennell is x-factor and what about Brett Bewley?

Might head up and have a squizz at training tomorrow, if I see Hackdorn I’ll run the prick over. If you here him yelling out from under a grey falcon ute, you’ll know I’ve succeeded.
Would be the only great thing a Ford falcon has accomplished if you succeed.;)

Bewley and Colyer are carving it up on the track. Throw them through the middle and leave Walters up forward. Conca to fill the half-back position of S.Hill and Blakely.

If we hear him yelling we'll know you haven't.
