based on talent alone? Or just the performances they've dished up? I'd say Brads definately been better for us over the past 2 years than Silly, having said that he does miss a lot more kicks, struggles to complete tackles and is a bit of a liability if drawn into a contest. Silly's a much more rounded player who imo has much neater skills as well and has a better 'turn of pace' where he explodes away with the ball. Brad has a higher top speed but not the agility/explosiveness around a contest which Silly has in spades.

Definitely on performance. Stephen is the more talented all round, no doubt but Brad has been much better the last two years.

Brad has a massive tank too going at speed from contest to contest and more importantly to create. His kicking has fallen off since arriving at Freo, he should be better and certainly can be. He should never be asked to play anywhere near inside, that’s not his value to the team, so his tackling doesn’t bother me.

Both bloody good players

Without them both playing in the same position, how do you compare?

In a perfect world, SHill would have his one position over his career with a bit of rotation elsewhere. But he's good enough that he can be the half back flanker, wing, inside/outside midfielder and used by the coach around the park to strengthen areas of weakness - and eleventy seven times out of 6 he'd make a great forward if played there (great decision making, marking, kick, reliable set shot, defensive and good tackler, explosive pace to get seperation etc).

Happy to have BHill in the team, but Shill is the better player and at the end of a run, doesn't fluff his kick.

Blakely walking laps.
Walters appearing on the boundary but doesn’t seem to be doing much.
North, Valente and Steven Hill now on the far side of the oval with a trainer about to start some kicking and running.

Update: Hamling, Walters and CamMc now out doing some stretches and brief run throughs with a trainer.

Umpires out to warm up, scratchy can’t be far away.

Looks like we are getting set for the match now.

North, Valente and Shillly all moved up to running laps intermittently. Hilly setting good pace.

CamMc, Hamling and Walters did their own running drills and joined in certain ball drills. All participating in the match

Bennell appeared briefly on the boundary but just watched.

Belly now here and perched on the balcony.

Quarter time and it’s 33-7 to purple who are by far the stronger side.

Switta been a standout - opening 2 goals and handed off a third to Matera who kicked a great snap from the pocket.

Brayshaw with the best passage of play however - Called for a Billy to hold the ball up, then called for the tap on from Wilson after a spilled ball and slotted the goal on the run from 40-45. This guy genuinely excites me.

Switta - 2 goals
Brayshaw, Fyfe and Matera - 1

Cam with the goal for yellow on the siren.

Looks like an A versus B set up. Fyfe dominant in the mids. As playing tall forward line with Tabs, hogan, lobb.

Cox playing as a defender in the As.

Notable Bs are: McCarthy,Mundy, giro, logue, Ballentyne, banfield, Langdon. Mundy

There's 3 or 4 in that list that I would have thought are B22 - interesting mind games from the coaches!
