There was a reference on one of the players' guernseys, honouring an historic indigenous football team.
Personally, I did not see any racist undertone to the team.
I actually thought it was quite good.
I did not know Jade Gresham was an indigenous player.
He is a superstar, St Kilda's best player.

Betts selected his team. There were a few other non ingig players initially selected.

I liked the format. From the draft to the games themselves. Puts fun back into football. And that is In short supply.

My take as well TTT. It didn't take itself too seriously - it was entertainment and better still, the players enjoyed playing it it seemed to me. So anyone knocking it has missed the point and needs to go back to a local footy club and get back in touch with the game. Wasn't sure of the Rock, Scissors, Paper when I heard about it first up, but again it was just a bunch of lads geeing each other up - it was fun too.

It definitely wasn't racist. I read that more as a comment on society. 30 years ago having a team for the Aboriginal players would have been considered segregation and seen as racist. These days it's applauded as inclusive. Not saying it's a bad thing, but it's kinda funny that we've gone full circle.

In the same week resources were being used to stage AFLX a 100 year old Tassie club, in a town of 5000 pop. closed its doors due to a lack of player numbers.
#prioritiesgil
TBF Smithton closed its doors due to a lack of players not money issues. Although the AFL could do a lot more to promote football in Tassie and get the kids involved.

Someone just told me jack held a place kick for cripps?
Cripps isn’t a Carlton players arseh*le back in the day he’d have deliberately kicked his hand and broken it.
Soft.

No surprise Carlton have gone to shit ever since they stopped with the dirty cheating tactics

True , when population of these local town is like 300 , the future for senior sports teams is bleak and ain’t nothing afl gonna do about dat

Plenty of towns who have and continue to enjoy population growth are seeing a massive decline in people playing AFL in preference to other sports.
