Oh yeah. Thing is, like we were talking about before, reality shows do have their moment where they just perfectly define the culture.

The UK Big Brother 5 wasn't the highest rating ever - BB3 rated higher - but the franchise never rated that high again, and many of the developments in BB5 have now become reality format staples.

I have friends over in the UK- they hate their reality shows, they were massive fans of Australian BB instead. They've also watched Aussie series of MAFS.

But they cant do that anymore now, they have a kid.

UK reality shows are crap now, but in the early to mid 00s, they were spot on.

Reality shows only really work well in a country where the economy is doing well, where people need to invent problems.

Post economic collapse in UK and US, no nheed for them, they have Trump and Brexit now, not reality shows.
