I wonder if i'll reach a new point of expertise after 20+ years or if we've already peaked in terms fo how much you can "know" about fantasy.

I wonder if the difference between a good fantasy player and a great fantasy player is just additional research and analysis of the numbers or if you can continue to develop a "feel" for the game over time.

The latter in my opinion, from what I’ve heard from Selby he’s very good at picking up on trends earlier than everyone else, that being said he probably does a lot of research too.

Yeah I’d probably keep playing if I won but it doesn’t get much better for Selby than back to back, retire at the top of your game and just dish out advice on Twitter. Sounds alright to me.

Said that he thought he'd give someone else a chance, happy to go out with a back to back. Also said it has a bit to do with him selling the guide (not that he's profiting), but just that he's giving out advice and he doesn't want him entering a team to compromise that. Either way, everyone's odds of winning went up dramatically once he pulled out, haha.

He may have won the last 2 but the odds of him winning again were still very low. Probably has no room in his garage.

I don't do Fantasy, just Supercoach and RDT, but I assume this resource will still be valuable for those formats as well?

The spreadhseet includes historical averages, prices, discount calculations, averages by different breakdowns (TOG, 1st half of the season, 2nd half, last 5 finals.. etc) and his comments on each player.

Given the scoring system is different for Supercoach it might not be as relevant but similar trends will appear in the data im sure. Should be relatively effective for RDT though, although pricing information will be different.

Ive heard his work are really getting onto him about how much fantasy he does during work. Theyve told him on a work venture they dont want to see him touch it or in anyway do anything with fantasy.

Not sure that means hes not entering. Id say he still will be unless work has really taken a strict stand with this.

They're probably just jealous. I doubt this is the reason he isn't playing though.

" F@(# this shit, I'm not playing next year"
Just that winning 2 years in a row makes the decision easier.

I spent 70mins on my two trades one night before lockout, combination of waiting for final teams & PC and fantasy slowness.
Shift work and needed sleep.
