A bit of googling tells me he probably needs therapy, not a plane ticket and a platform.

He's a British journalist, now based in the US who achieved a level of fame and notoriety due to his opinions on feminism, political correctness, Islam among other things.
It's the opinions, but more often than not his delivery of said opinions is extremely direct and crass, I'd suggest to the point of being deliberately offensive (as an example, 'feminism is cancer' would be a good one, very deliberately provocative).
He was at one point editor of Breitbart news, and I'd suggest that most peoples initial exposure to him would have been through YouTube videos of his speeches/talks at university campuses in the United States - which are frequently picketed, leading to him being banned from campuses etc which he used as more fuel for his notoriety (the left want to silence people etc).
Personally I like him, without necessarily agreeing with what he says, primarily because he shines a light on what I believe is a plague of perennially offended, morally up-righteous twats. He's often been quoted stating '**** your feelings'; in the context of actual fact being more important than how people feel about various topics.
The issue is that there are people who aren't being "trolled" and actually legitimately believe everything he says.
In my mind he's a ****head and personally I'm glad that he's not allowed to enter and spread more shit.

If it's more likely to promote bigotry, I think it's invalid.Who decides what is and is not a valid thought or opinion?

Apologies, I've used the wrong word.Define that word for me, if you could.

I should have said promote discrimination and hate.
I don't think she promotes the same level of hate and discrimination that Milo promotes but I don't agree with everything she says either.Ok.
Would you therefore suggest that someone like Clementine Ford also holds invalid views, and should be deplatformed?
It would appear that she has been.Ok.

It would appear that she has been.
Banned from Facebook and forced to resign from her posts as a columnist in prominent newspapers. It's rather hard to prevent her entering the country since she's a citizen, but that would appear to be a loss of platform. Is that so? In what way?
I DOWho decides what is and is not a valid thought or opinion?

I would be stunned if those were direct quotes. You reckon?
"Kill all men. And then kill them again."
"All men are scum and must die."
"Will not stop till all men are humiliated and dominated"
I would suggest that the above comments are more hateful than any ever uttered by Milo Yiannopoulos.

She does it to get a rise.
Sounds very similar to Milo. But I don’t see a wave of feminists around killing men.
I still see a lot more of men abusing women in many which way.
Milo has far more power than Clem does to cause harm.
I know she does! Isn't it funny how its just for a laff, just getting a rise, when it's her - but when it's Milo it's spreading hate and discrimination...
But you see a wave of right wing, gay, political commentators killing women? That's news to me.
Bullshit. Point me to a direct causal impact, Milo Yiannopoulos causing actual harm.
