Well that was interesting.

Excellent first quarter. Turned to shithouse afterwards, though terrific footy from Carlton.

I think we got cocky and expected them to just lie down for us. They gave us a shock. Can not afford to play like that against the pies or they will do to us what they did in the pre lim.

We played well when it mattered and got through because Carlton are too inexperienced to follow through.

Take the win, blow off cobwebs etc. Round one and footy is back.

Absolutely shattered about Rance. Been a long time since we’ve had a long term injury to a star player. We will manage but still a big loss

We have barely had injuries to Rance, Cotchin, Riewoldt and Dusty since 2013. The same with Deledio until about 2014-2015. We really did have a good injury run with our stars. Maybe not historically, but with our current era of success we have.
