Better than losing - but a bit to work on. Carlton didn't miss any shots and kicked a few out of their a*se, to make it closer.

Lynch was terrible (nearly as bad as Carlton's star forward, Curnow) - but game 1 for the season, the club, and the injury recovery. That's fine.
Balta looked like he found it a bit quick - but he'll learn.
Weller and Butler were average, but HFF can be a starvation corner. Nevertheless, both had chances and butchered them. Fortunately Rioli and Higgins were the good small forwards. I think George comes back somehow (along with Caddy).

The good - Prestia got good possessions, McIntosh was excellent, and I thought Short was pretty good (but we did set him up perfectly for a goal, and he bombed it). Very impressed with Graham - I've been a bit unsure up to now - that was a fine game.
Does Grimes ever lose one-on-one contests?

And we are now playing 3 big forwards - Jack, Lynch and Nank.
