If the fox sports commentators get their way with Jones getting a week..is Goddard a chance or are rookies ineligible unless long term injury? (Just thought I read somewhere rookies could be called like any listed player).

I'd go no change with Charlie, Ed, Garlett, Phillips and Fasolo on notice.

No change.

Kreuzer the only inclusion if he's right to go but I don't think he will be.
Lobbe for Phillips if Kreuzer is no good. Lycett is good around the ground and far too strong for Phillips.

Other than that, no changes until the likes of Marchbank, Williamson, Lang and L'Ob start stringing some vfl games together.

Wouldn't mind bringing in JSos as a defender and swinging Daisy to the forward half, pushing Ed into the middle. This probably at the expense of Gibbons or Fasolo.

He was quiet last night but I'd certainly be persisting with Fasolo.

Forward line was out of sync at times last night and only experience playing together will fix that.

Yup. Just wishing for the luxury to play daisy forward, he showed he's still got the nous to kick goals last night with his lightning hand to boot snap. Perhaps when a few defensive reinforcements are fit I'll get my wish.

Daisy's also moving as well as ever has at Carlton. Applied some seriously good defensive pressure last night.

In- Kreuzer, Out - Phillips

Garlett and Gibbons survive because we have no other options basically.

I'd give Kennedy the next 2 weeks in the reserves and then look at bringing him in for either Gibbins or Fasolo, I feel they are both too similar and we only need one of them

Fasolo is simply underdone. He’ll get better with each match.
Ryder will exploit Phillips around the ground so the MC will need to consider whether Lobbe has greater capacity to match him around the ground as opposed to Phillips (assuming MK is another week or two away).
I don’t like Garlett in the backline. I think he’s better suited in the forward line or bust.
Won’t be surprised if the side remains unchanged barring injuries or suspensions. Give each player two strikes before they’re on the chopping block.

Lobbe for me. Great competitor and Knows the Ground. Have something to prove to Port too.

That being said. Kreuz Please

Some notes:

- O'Brien is not a better defender than what Garlett showed, in fact, he's worse; our outside mix played really well

- JSOS cannot do what Plowman does structurally, he'd be replacing Newman

- Fasolo isn't fit and was a stupid gamble

Can’t see any changes. Kruezer Kennedy haven’t played and LOB won’t be promoted yet.

If anything I would bring in Casboult as a big bodied forward relief ruck. He’s not the future but we need a pack crashed up forward. IMO Charlie & McGovern aren’t KPP. They are mobile types. Charlie needs to be up the ground
For everyone whining about his efforts, Charlie covered 15km last night. He's a tiny bit off the boil, but he worked his opponents over.

If Lobbe and Kreuzer aren't available, I'd honestly take Levi as first ruck.

All category A rookies are available for selection without caveats.

In a different era, goals built pressure, that changed some years ago

Fasolo should not have been selected ahead of Polson until he found some touch. While he would be considered our best medium forward when on, he has always offered very little when his team does not have the ball, 1 tackle, no 1%ers, which is just really poor. While Gibbons was quiet, at least he had 3 and 2. While Polson is yet to hit the scoreboard on a consistent basis, at least he applies pressure that stifles easy rebound 50's and or causes turnovers so others might capitalize. I would take that every week of the year over a better player that is lacking touch and offers little to team ethos

If MK is fit, he comes in, otherwise I would rather put games into TDK, or at least a more seasoned/competitive ruckman in Lobbe

These 2 changes for me

Spot on.

What Polson brings is something we SEVERELY lack and people seem to not appreciate. We don't need to be slower in our forward line with the 3 talls.

We had one fewer tackle inside our forward 50 than the Tigers last night.

They did get the ball out too easily from kick ins but I think a lack of defensive pressure last night is overstated.

Just the Richmond named back 6 had a DE average of around 81%. Houli in particular went at 91.7%.

We need more pressure coming out of defence. If anything for me it is understated.

It’s gonna be around 15-19 degrees at the time of the game I believe. Hopefully we see a few long sleeves. That’s the key to victory. I will be at the game so I’m hoping that they wear their traditional colours(greatest jumpers in all sports). I almost threw up at the site of the ‘wolf grey’ horrendous guernseys last year. There’ll be a clash if port wear their traditional, but not that much of a clash...If they opt for the predominant white guernseys I will understand but also be disappointed.
If I get a petition up and running to bring back the collars I’d hope you all would sign it. And I also hope the lovely lady at the Carlton shop would get back to me about getting the Classic wool long sleeve guernsey in a medium for me. I was hoping to be able to wear that at the game, but they only have XL in stock, and I remembered that I’m an adult and you can’t trust grown men that wear guernseys to games. Fact.
No changes made, kruezer isn’t ready, y’all have been quick to throw out fasolo, he’s fairly under done atm and will be better for last night. Have trust. I might even slide into his DM’s and tell him to wear a long sleeve, and make sure it’s a tight fit around the forearms. Tasty.

Given the same information the MC had access to, I would have played TDK, Lobbe and O'Brien instead of McGovern, Phillips and Fasolo.

This sounds like a great idea.

Where did he play last night ?
