Oh i get it, Rance out for year = club is going to fall to pieces and we are going to repeat 2016.

Get well Rancey and see you in 2020 when you resume for the reigning champs.

Someone on the main board said that “Rance just did what ever other player in any other league and age level would do”

Yeah, a 6 year old in under sevens would totally sit on the bench and smile watching his team if he tore an ACL...

The main board on bigfooty is gutter trash.
Everyone is fireing off shots but get so offended when they cop it.

On a positive side to Rance at least he should be right for R1 2020.

rance is def our best and most important player... Martin is the best individually, but I reckon we’d go better with Martin out for the season than Rance. If we start leaking goals, going to be hard to win the cup. Going to be tough against teams with tall forward lines like eagles and crows...

I dont think we will struggle too much to replace Rance with Garthwaight coming in.
We will have a problem if Grimes/Astbury get injured. (touch wood they wont)
 
I don't care what club it is, any player suffering a severe injury, let alone an ACL is the worst part of this game. I for one, always want to see the best players play regardless of their team. I don't get people who celebrate players going down. It really is a truly brutal sport and when you know how hard these kids work at their craft, to see this is very sad.
Best wishes, and quick recovery, to the big fella and to the Tigers for this year. You'll get through this, because good clubs manage adversity.
I still think you're still the best team in it for 2019 and you'll rebound - I'm sure.
Now having said that, I hope we smash you next time round. I can't be all sunshine and rainbows after the reamings we have received lately from your lot. All the best Tiger fans.
 
One bonus to come out of this terrible tragedy is its inevitable we will have injuries throughout the year, and what could be possibly better than being in rehab group with Rancy.
It would be demoralizing for a young footballer to be watching from the sidelines and training away from the main group of mates, but having Rancys possitive upbeat nature around every day would be increadible
I remember Grimes saying Ashbury in rehab with him was a massive positive bonus keeping him focused on the end game.

Rance plays the Rance role. No one else can.

We adapt and live on.
 
Shattering but not the end of the world for us. In a way, it might work out better. Last year seemed to be too easy and we lost our way late in the season.

This year won’t be easy, everyone needs to step up
 
Love how Rance is taking this.

But it'll be hard. Our depth get worked on right away. Garth and Balta might get a fair few games this year. Hope they step up. I'm confident in Garth stepping into the AFL role.

And his leadership -- that will be the biggest loss, I reckon, especially with the new rules regarding runners.
