Player Watch #18: Alex Rance

This is the biggest myth ever and its the Media's fault.

Goldsack was a PARTIAL ACL.

But of course the AFL spin machine always called it an ACL to make AFL players seem superhuman.o.
If he had a reconstruction it wouldnt matter, he still went thru the whole surgery. if he avoided surgery then i agree, but it read today he had the surgery. There is no surgery that only partially repairs an ACL.

Goldsack came back within a year and was more than serviceable in the last 3 games for us. Not sure if it was a full or partial ACL.
Hopefully Rance can do the same. Fingers crossed.
But I have to also mention. what an outstanding person....” my life is good, there are worse things going on in the world at the moment. It’s just a knee”

can't believe what with the gloomy s**t....

I'm sure Rance would have sat there thinking...well........we had the minutes silence to remember ppl in Christchurch..and I'm gonna whinge/moan about my knee ??

2017, lost talls, forced to play smalls, Premiers.
well there you go, straight from the Tross's mouth...."there are far worse things happening around the world than my knee..."

I remember Matthew Richardson undergoing a knee reconstruction after being tunneled into the SCG fence by Ross Dunkley. He seemed to perform reasonably well on his return and for a number of years too. With Rance's attitude, maturity and the second to none support from the RFC medical team, I'm looking forward to him continuing next year where he left off on Thursday night.

Yeah that's right!

They moved the boundary line after that. Richo was flying.
May have been Andrew Dunkley!

Get the surgery straight away, good recovery and he'll be back full on in 2020. No reason Tross can't keep playing top quality for years to come.

If Garth steps up, along with Balta we might have too many quality talls. here's hoping we have that terrible problem.

disagree, we have 4 aces all of equal importance, as well as around a dozen kings - nank, sheds, lambert, vloss, grimes, lynch etc, then you got another dozen solid role type players - ellis, grigg, macca, short, butler, GARTH, weller etc etc. we shuffle the deck and get the best fit to replace those injured and/or out of form. sad, but thats footy dont see a problem only a solution.
Garth is about as battle tested as choir boy

We are about to find out whether all the talk about the importance of following a process rather than relying on individual players actually works in practice. My money is on the process. We have battle experienced coaching personnel with years of strategic knowledge behind them to move the Club forward. And we are blessed with talented back up players. It all starts again against the Pies and I'm confident we have the players and system to win and set us up for the rest of the year.
