Hi Guys,

I need some advice, I compiled this team absolutely last minute after a couple of years out of the game, would really appreciate some advice/tips on improving my team along with some general strategy advice. I have posted my team below. Any help would be much appreciated!

I had a pretty sub par round 1 scoring 1917. Did have Grundy as captain which was disappointing. I am more than happy to use some trades to fix my team going into round 2.

I don't think it's that bad.
Different to most but not horrible.

I'd go
- Cunningham > Duursma or Clark
- Lynch > Drew

Gives you a fair bank of cash to spend the following week
Gives you time to see how Libba, B Crouch, Mills go

Can upgrade 2 of them to true premos.
I'd give Gresham and Darling a crack

That's it. Hold the rest. Week 2 you can look at fixing Balta/Petrucelle.

Worst thing you could do is waste trades at this stage, rookie corrections or injury replacement only in the first few rounds. You'll just be chasing your tail and be out of trades by round 16. Stick with your premos/mid-pricers barring genuine disaster.

Shame on the Balta front, but he is still pretty raw. Interesting Markov might get a run, thought prevailing sentiment was that he wasn't much chop.
Can't even loop Balta this week.

These ****ing Thursday games! I love Thursday night footee but it makes SC planning awkward as i want to see ALL the team's lists. Do Thursday night games count as the Friday night curse with less or more power?? I don't trust picking Thursday or Friday VC options because of this.

Winning B&F awards doesn't give bonus points to SC
I'm not discrediting these players' ability (I wanted us to recruit Graham & Higgins), but last year there was a heap of hype from 1 supporter base for Lambert and Graham and they were both average FOR SUPERCOACH.

Higgins is still a ? mark as he's been OK, but the track record isn't looking great.
