I mean chances are their actual contract has more details and they don't really need to have a wank off about who has a more specific 2 word title?

What exactly do Torin Baker and Darren Glass do? Develop and assist? How has Clarko won 4 flags with this sort of mediocre detailing on the club website?

For every rigid Alastair Clarkson or Alex Ferguson rigid structure, there's a Phil Jackson that does just as well.

Yze has a cooler title than Harding though.

As the other guy said, it appears they all have specific roles. They do seem to lack a bit of experience though. Out of that list there are only two coaches who have worked at other clubs with a pass mark or better - Worsfold and Rutten.

Surprised Mark Harvey is still around. Thought he was given a coaching role as a bit of charity by Essendon with the pretence that he was there to guide Hird.

A couple of years ago when they got caught doping, they pulled a super duper organisational “matrix” out of nowhere in an attempt to exonerate certain characters at the club.

They’ve learnt **** all.

Bomber Thompson is available though, and probably looking for work.

They did?

Where is that, can we see it?

Seems strange why Rutten has a title but the others are generic (other than the opposition analyst).

Why is Rutten not a performance coach as well?

Probably because Rutten was the recent addition specifically brought in with a job description in his club puff piece, and the website guy used that to fill in the html table.

Previously when they said to the web guy “oh we need you to add these names to our coaching pages” - “what do they do?” - “just call them all performance coaches, who really takes notice anyway.”

I feel like of all the things to go at Essendon for, this is a truly weird one.

We have specific titles but they're not updated. Tim Kelly is still on our website as an oppositi9n analyst for example. Then when I attended a club information seesion I learnt he was defensive coordinator and a line coach.

I think there's a bit of foxing sometimes to give opposition analysts nothing. If they know a coaches role and history they may glean some useful data.

I'm neutral in terms if the clubs, but yeah this thread is a meaningless troll.

It’s pretty easy to find out what the coaches do, they put an article out when they brought Rutten in from memory.

I’d say it’s more that whatever hamster is used to update the website has very limited time and interest in this particular topic.

I think there's more goes on in intelligence thing than supporters realise. All our training sessions are open but that's probably because with the small numbers a strange face videoing, would be noticed.

Oh undoubtedly, I also think that clubs will practice in closed sessions or indoor / strategy meetings when they don’t want people to be able to see what they’re planning.

I just don’t think this is anything more than the website boy (or girl) having better things to do than maintain an accurate and up to date listing of coaching staff roles.

I'd say Harding's role is more on par with Adam Yze's role at Hawthorn. Probably no equivalent of Damian Carroll's role at Essendon so perhaps your Bombers list should shunt every coach down a peg.

Yep, who can forget the matrix.
