No surprises really...being fit, strong and having explosiveness work wonders for confidence. I'm anticipating more players to improve this year purely because of Russell's impact alone.

Jack will make it, at Carlton, he is just a slow burn like the players I mentioned, who took 4-6 years to find a level of consistency. While Watson and Kennedy were more natural mids, Jack is a smarter/better forward

So funny how people (media) talk about Jack.. When he was drafted as a bottom ager, he wasn't projected to play ANY games in 1-2 years of his career.. but in 3 years, he managed 40+ games.. Now these imbeciles are calling for him to find opportunities elsewhere because he hasn't played a game in his 4th year - even though he was injured after JLT series, and the Northern Blues have only played their 1st game of the season - which he played in!

In contrast, the same media experts would like to see Mason Wood given the time to develop - he's 25yo and played the same amount of games as Jack.

AFL chief Gillon McLachlan has confirmed that league and club officials have “spoken to” both Geelong superstar Gary Ablett and Carlton’s Matthew Kennedy after the pair ‘liked’ Israel Folau’s controversial anti-gay tweet last week.

Like Folau, both Ablett and Kennedy are devout Christians and they endorsed the now former star Wallaby’s social media post proclaiming hell awaits “drunks, homosexuals, adulterers, liars, fornicators, thieves, atheists and idolaters”.

Pretty damming footage when shown in isolation.

The few stoppages that were shown, on the couch on Monday night were even more damming. The last two ball ups of the game and our mids were in the total opposite position to which they should have.
