Yep will again increase our lead on Richmond and they claim to have 98,000 members yet only they can draw 72,000 people to the game
But but, you've spent pages and pages on this thread insisting that attendance doesn't matter. Are you now saying it does. Because if it does, the attendance from the most recent completed season proves Richmond is the biggest.
gopies1981 quickly changes the goal posts as he realises that he's been owned, yet again

Oh it does matter. Remember Collingwood are 9.2 million in total attendance’s in front of Richmond. Collingwood are also the biggest club on social media being the most popular afl club on Facebook and instagram while Richmond are the 4th most popular club behind Collingwood, Essendon and hawthorn.

It is common knowledge that in term of support around Australia Richmond are well behind Collingwood and Essendon.

Richmond can claim to have 98,000 members but when they can only draw 72,000 v another Melbourne club on Anzac eve suggests they are just fudging numbers to make them look like they are bigger then Collingwood and Essendon when I’m reality they are not.

Was that the 25 frees to 9 game?

Lol Richmond fans making excuses yet again like when their crowds are well behind Collingwood’s yer they claim to have 20,000 more members. Yet you will all day the train strikes but Collingwood were affected as well yet we drew 60,000 v west Coast (Richmond are yet to ever draw over 60,000 against any interstate side in Melbourne) and 59,000 v western bulldogs more then what Richmond were about to get in round 23 last year.

Yes yes. We've established that Collingwood was a big club a hundred years ago.
Recent history of course proves that Richmond is now a much bigger club.
But please continue to make a fool of yourself. It's funny, even if a bit pathetic.

After this round we will increae our lead by another 20,000.

Collingwood’s 9.2 million in total home and away attendance’s in front of Richmond while playing at a suburban ground for home games till 1999! If Collingwood had the luxury of playing home games at the mcg in 1965 we would be 20 million ahead of Richmond.

After round 8 Richmond will be over 100,000 behind Collingwood. You ain’t close to us it burns you inside.

Remember Collingwood is bigger then Richmond in every fan poll and on social media. Richmond should really stop counting their 40,000 pet members it ain’t a good look

Mate Richmond are not even close to having the nation wide supporter of Collingwood or even essendon. This is the reason why the afl play Collingwood and Essendon in Anzac Day because we are the 2 biggest clubs in the afl.

Nice to see you finally agree that the club with the most attendance in a whole season is the biggest.

Maybe Collingwood will be a big club again on day like Richmond is.

After this round Collingwood 394,000 to minnowmond 319,000

We are on target to break our own record of 1,304,604

Richmond cannot even break 1.2 million.

Again. Good that you finally recognise that the club with the biggest attendance is the biggest club.
You can give it up now.
Although if you're still obsessed with the Tigers, and who blames you for being smitten by the biggest club in the land, can you tell me haw many years it's been since little Collingwood had bigger attendance than mighty Richmond in a year when both clubs made the finals?
I understand if you're too embarrassed to answer.

Pies' average H&A crowd v.'s Dees since 1997 is just 58,000, even though they have had sole access to a public holiday every single year.

I draw 2 conclusions from this:
1. Richmond is about 15,000 bigger than Pies (which is similar to how many more members we have), and
2. Queens Birthday should be spread around

As for today, this is the fixture that distorts Pies attendance figure every year. Should be removed from the averages, since there will be 70,000 Bomber fans there today.

Richmond > Essendon > Sydney > WC > Adelaide > Carlton/Collingwood depending on form

why does it have to be a comparison of when both teams make the finals at the same time? this just highlights the fickle bandwagon support....which is probably why a tugger supporter is keen to use these stats

OK then.
When was the last time Collingwood got a higher season attendance when Richmond made the finals and Collingwood didn't?

Even though it's very easy, it's fun to humiliate Collingwood supporters time and again.
And the silly campaigners keep coming back for more.

Like we humiliate Richmond time and time again. Difference is we have facts to back up our claims on field and off. Richmond supporters have well......nothing

Cool. Who had the highest attendance in 2018
(Waits for poor dumb gopies to quote stats from 100 years ago :D)

2001. Since 1990 when the afl name started Collingwood were the biggest drawing club in the competition from 1990-95, 1997, 2002-03, 2005-14, 2016 and now 2019

Richmond have only been the biggest drawing club in 2015 (only by 300), 2017 only by 21,000 in your premiership year. And 2018!

Now with Collingwood coming off a grand final appearance we are now the biggest drawing club in the competition

After round 6 Collingwood would of averaged 65,000 per game to Richmond 53,000. That is a 12,000 difference. It ain’t really close at the moment is it??
