Oz the facts don't lie mate. At the start of the year most pundits had them as the number two ranked team, myself included. They were 10 goals in arrears of Echuca on Saturday and made it semi respectful in the end. In round 1 Ky had a number of players out and still have 8 to come back in...most are quality. I don't think United will be in the finals hunt. If Rochy roll you on the weekend it ill be MORE than disappointing.

Put some mayonaisse on the largest Gap agianst Echuca, Ringo . The highest margin was 8 goals in front at 3 qtr time.

Looking at Previous season, Last season Benalla was 8th in Round 3 and came 3rd.
2017 Bears were 6th in Round 3 and came 2nd.

Argee United will not be in the final hunt but they will can cause upsets this year.

Rochy is a big game on Saturday but Tat has played in my opinion, The Grand Finalists of 2019 in the last 3 weeks.

If Tat at the interleague break is 4-2 or 3-3, then I would be happy.

You saying there is two set of rules here however the quote below saying you want Tatura to have increased points.

What side are you on then?

I think people need to Re-Read this comment below before they make them self any more foolish than they already are.

Sound advice by The Roar is Back

Good Luck for the rest of the season.

GIVE EXTRA POINTS to the team is what was written, don't change the way they are allocated against individual's. There's a big difference!
Nothing foolish about that!
On the side of transperancy here

Lol ...8 goals,10 goals whatever it’s alot of goals. No more excuses at the Kennel...they need to front up on the weekend. Also remember that Echuca has some pretty significant players out on the weekend.

Did Chopper play on the weekend.

On another note didn’t Chips McCartney get a lot of face time yesterday!

Tatura seem to make a habit of applying for and being granted points reductions. Two sets of rules. Tatura and the rest!
Who is on the GVFL points committee?
No one , as " the GVFL points committee " doesn't exist.
There is a regional points sub committee , as there is in every region , where clubs can apply for either extra team points or a reduction of a individual players points due to unique circumstances.
My understanding is that no-one associated with the GVL is on the sub-committee.

They are non transparent and a joke really. When other clubs were talking to Tutt as he was shopping himself around he was a six pointer. Now all of a sudden unbeknown to those clubs he was really a five pointer!

5 points for tutt/6 points for tutt.. whatever it is, think tatura lost out with that.. plays on a wing, rarely saw a contested ball on the weekend from what i observed.. big hit in your cap for a player like that..
Tutt is a good outside player however there have always been questions over his contested ball efforts. He will need to fix that up to have an impact. From what I've seen the GV seems to be very contested this season.

Did other clubs seek clarification on his point value ?
It appears as though you are upset that a club has utilised the options provided to all.
Strangely nothing was made of the 3 blokes who ran around for the Bears last year on reduced points.

That was because the Picola league pulled the pin. Nothing to do with the flow chart and the players allocated points history. All above board and for all to see. Other clubs could have recruited PDFL clubs during that window (now closed) Nothing sneaky there. Just the Bears good fortune on that occasion. I guess good luck to Tat that they got the deduction ! They obviously got clarification and got a win! Just would like to know on what exceptional circumstances? That’s all.

Not the circumstances and I didnt mention the Bears for any reason other than to merely use it as an example that it isn't unprecedented that players points have been reduced .

Happy to send you a membership form and ask people around the club but then again, there are two chance of getting that info. One called Buckley(Not Simon or Nathan) and other is None :P . Do I want to know player points concessions of my club? No. That what a fantastic Football operation department is for. Do I want to know other club reason for Player points concession? Hell No. As long as it is 40 vs 40 on Saturday, I am happy with that.

Every club in the GVFL has applied for concession on player with points, If you do think your club has not does this, Well the Football department is naive and unorganised or stupid and does not know the AFL Points system rules.

The Roar is Back has been spot on with many comment, just wish people take his or her advice.

My tips for round4

United by 44pts
Mansfield by 13pts
Shepp by 67pts
Tatura by 6pts
Sorry by 5pts
Kyabram by 34pts

Pretty simple to look up, tutt wasn't on afl list last year, can't be 6 points it's not rocket science

The points system will only ever work if the points are scaled the same all over the state, you can't have metro clubs with strong juniors having more points than all gv clubs, the way it is now is killing country footy, as most country leagues such as the gv and om are weaker comps than before the points system was introduced, let alone leagues further away from melbourne, such as the cmfl, Hampton and gippsland leagues who have been on decline for a longer period of time

“Category 6 – AFL Player – 6 Points
Player who has played a minimum of one AFL game in any of the current or previous three (3) Seasons”

Straight from the website. Tutt played a game in 2016.

Am I missing something?

Tutt has come from a VAFA side. Not straight from an AFL side

So he’s carried 5 points to Tatura.

Going out on a limb and saying Looby to kick a bag today 7-9 goals . I can’t see anyone in the mooroopna team who matches him.
Wonderful footballer think today will be a good one for him

Playing a year in the VAFA doesn’t reduce your points. Bottom line and unambiguously he played a senior game in 2016! He’s a six pointer! Tat through obviously a good case to the points committee were able to get that reduced to five!

Did you read my previous post? if a player has played an AFL game in the previous 3 seasons which tutt has he is worth 6pts. Does not matter that he played in the vafa year, it’s irrelevent.
