Coniglio, 25, has bolstered his reputation as one of the best two-way midfield runners in the game as part of a blistering start to the season. Greater Western Sydney remains confident Coniglio will re-sign on a long-term deal to stay at the club after previously inking a series of two-year contracts. Given Coniglio is only 25, there’s nothing stopping him signing on for 2-3 years and moving as a FA later. GWS are as good a chance as any of a flag over next 2-3 years, would be a strange career move to leave now (as much as he would be great for the hawks). Just can’t see it.

One strategy that I hear is in play, is perhaps trade up (if necessary) two first round picks (2019&2020) to get as high as possible in this draft, take two players or one like a Noah and perhaps a high second after we spend our second on Finn Maguiness. Try and grab Cogs as FA, and perhaps a Thompson as a FA. Somehow trade for a Patton.

He's done nothing close to justifying a mid 1st Round Selection which is no doubt what they'll be seeking.
