He was serviceable and stood up well in the last few minutes but that doesn’t change that he can’t hit a kick 20m away and kicks into the man on the mark too regularly.

No surprise that we scored that late goal when we moved the ball around beautifully from half back with the short kick.

If the coaches want something glaringly obvious to focus on its this. Why did it take so long to get one of these simple steady chains of passes to create a goal opportunity in half a game. We just keep doing the same thing even when it doesn’t work.

I hope Voss isn’t thinking that the best approach is to continue playing to your advantage ie plan A - kick it to H and Curnow, even when it ain’t working.

It’s incredible to read the melts on here, after a win ffs! Sure there is plenty to learn but, we haven’t played finals for 8 years! We lost to Port by 16 goals last time. We are winning games that historically we lost. Key players are learning to stand up in crucial moments: Bot, now H.
We need to find a way to force turnovers and turn them into scoring opportunities, particularly forward of centre to go to the next level. We won’t be winning finals purely on stoppage footy, we must force turnovers.
After years of misery, it’s amazing how many want to sustain it by effectively negating a win.

I am so annoyed at the second half…we absolutely stopped to a walk, mids couldn’t sustain the stoppage dominance.

First half we scored from stoppages and turnovers….second half we bombed and hoped!

Walsh was great, McKay, Curnow good.

Still carrying too many players who have zero urgency and intensity when the games on the line.

Kennedy struggling to replicate early season form.
