With all due respect to the players listed above who had fantastic careers and who were well loved by North fans, and to those who had a shot... Those departures improved the team for 2024.

Experience was lost for sure, but the team is better, or it will become better. It's just the law of nature.

I don't think that's entirely true. If Cunners had wanted to do another pre-season he would definitely make us better this year. Goldy would probably still be getting a game considering we're currently playing CCJ. McKay would slot right back into our defense. Our list isn't so stacked that it would be a particularly tough sacrifice to find 3 spots for them.

Cunners was done last preseason, it was obvious.

Club, Ratten and Clarko were as respectful as they could.

There’s more to the footy than winning clearances in a phone box, Cunners just couldn’t get around the ground anymore and his leg speed dropped even further.

Yep. Would have been a blot on his legacy to play on too long.

Goldy could have at least another season in him but even so, he won't be around when North are in the the zone for contention and the McKay compo is better than McKay.

As was stated after last weeks game, Xerri’s game would have been the third best game Goldy has put out in 4 years.

If he keeps playing like that, we have lost nothing.

We're 2 games into a serious rebuild with proper development structures in place.

It blows that 21-22 were wasted and 23 was sabotaged, but that's life.

It's fine for North supporters not to listen to Cornehole.

The problem is every wanky little *stick oppo supporter who wants to have a sook will tune in for every second and keep him employed, while spreading the misinformation that he spews as if it's gospel.

Barrett mentioned how the hawks chose to go down this path and Cornes has lauded Mitchell a genius for it.

Cornes loves Mitchell so it’s no surprise he has gone down that path. Just another example of his opinions being shaped by his biases.

The worst part was, even though I frequently bring up how annoying Barrett is. When he and Cornes were arguing against Lloyd and Brown, you could tell Barrett (and this is an indication of the ****ed up world we live in) was coming across as a frustrated supporter

It’s his inability to work a fire hydrant that resulted in his current career. I would personally like to have a word with said fire hydrant, I’m sure it wouldn’t be gushing in its praise.

We've copped LDU, Sheezel,Wardlaw, McKercher and Duursma and we've deserved them all. Happy to have more too.

After 20 years of earnest toil and watching every Club in the comp, including Hawthorn, exploit the rules at our expense - it's been a long time coming.
