After yesterday I'm actually confident it'll be competitive at least. Is it too optimistic for a win? I'm not gonna focus on that, just want to see the same effort we brought yesterday. We will struggle against a defensively solid team, but not like their forwards are firing on all cylinders.

I reckon we can be competitive. Might not take the chocolates but who knows, this could herald our march back up the ladder.
Confidence and group belief is a wonder drug.

Freo don't usually win by big margins, so expecting this one to be in the 4-6 goal margin. We probably have too many good players over the park, but the kids the Eagles are putting together are looking ominous.

Finally a night game for Eagles, and a Saturday to boot so I just want a good close game.
No injury toll like last years 1st derby that completely killed our season.
Anything inside a 5 goal loss will be good, unless Freo play bad and we play worse and lose.

I think the form of Pearce and Ryan will make it very tough for our forwards but I think the midfield and our defence will hold up well and be a good match up.
If Freo's defence for some reason has a bad day we may be a chance but I just don't think they will and our forward line probably isn't quite up to the level required at the moment to beat a back line at Freo's level.

NO INJURIES
