He’s def better offensively. I’d still love to see him forward more. We just don’t have the troops
If we can get Pendles and Mitchell back, Jordy forward with a few midfield rotations would really increase our scoring power. I'm with you

Taylor has recommitted. Now is the time to SWOOP!
Get Leek Allir.
Get HIM!
They’re the ones you go for. The good ones that get squeezed.
HIM!
GET HIM!
Stuff Battle!
Allir!!
Contracted until next year so dont think he's going anywhere atm

Why do people suggest players that are un-gettable. Stick to players that are actually gettable.

Not even just gettable, but are RFAs/UFAs and fill an apparent need, like Battle this year or LDU/Keane next year.

Go after free agents. Give up nothing is the best course
Unless you've got outgoing Free Agents of your own, in which case it costs you compensation.

Every year in free agency, you need to determine whether you're a buyer or a seller.

Carlton got no compensation when Eddie Betts left because they signed Dale Thomas the same offseason. We got a first round pick for just letting Thomas walk without signing anyone, though.

Yup, thats the thing. You do have to be careful.

Is that why we’re targeting Jamarra Ugle-Hagan and Luke Davies-Uniake

Go get Josh Rachele, bring him back to Vic. Clearly unhappy at the Crows, not a good look talking to the media like that, but he's a very talented player, exactly the kind of player who would thrive at the Pies with the spotlight on him. Give him the midfield time he desires, then he can rest in the forward line and take the piss with Bobby. Long term contract doesn't help, but we should be asking questions.

Didn’t he sign a 17 year deal earlier this year?

Also, despite that I’m a hard pass

bevo is trying to pump up lobbs value with the he’s contracted and a required player thing, while acknowledging they have better options. Not sure being a valued 24th man as bevo puts it will appeal to lobb.

This made me laugh though;

“An established goal-face threat with valuable footy nous, rival clubs could attempt to lure Owies from Princes Park at the end of the year — particularly with the likes of Orazio Fantasia, Jesse Motlop, Corey Durdin and even Zac Williams occupying forward minutes.”

They reel off those names like they’re a good batch of small forwards. Fantasia? I mean c’mon.
It would be a sad day if we acquire that Owies flog.
Bring out the microwave for the members pass kind of stuff..

He seems to exclusively drink his own bathwater

Mac Andrew from that draft would be perfect, I would give up a future 1st for Andrew. Can play anywhere.

Gotta have a bit of that in you to be a star.

Yeah he would be great, but he looks settled, cemented his spot in the Suns side.

The point of going after Rachele is that he's clearly unsettled at the Crows. He wants midfield time, but he's not going to get it. Dawson, Rankine, Soligo are the main ones, then Laird and MCrouch still have a few years left. Last weekend the coach put Michalanney on-ball ahead of Rachele, that's likely why he's come out and said what he said. Can see him doing good things at his next club.

He's trying to fool us with the E at the end and the bullshit pronunciation- but we shouldn't forget that he has a girl's name.

With LDU and Worpel out of contract next year, I couldn't see any sense in trying to poach Rachele from Adelaide. The trade cost would be prohibitive and in my opinion he hasn't done enough to justify being picked at no. 6.

Rachele whenever I've watched him seems to have the odd highlight but hasn't really demonstrated anything to show that he's capable of playing in the midfield consistently well at AFL level.

I agree. I don't see much difference in his output compared to say a Jack Ginnivan. I often get the impression that he plays pretty selfishly as well.
