Geez this was an eyesore from start to finish LOL. Barely a clean possession in nearly 7 minutes of clips. But I liked it. An insane amount of tackling, smothering, closing space to give each other nothing. It's the footage that has most resembled an actual AFL game so far.

A bad look at 5:09 when Blakey dives and takes out Amartey's legs. Not only a free kick against but a foolish play that may have had serious consequences. Someone needs to remind Blakey he's not playing for the Dogs.

With all the quick handball training the boys have been doing it seemed to me there were still a lot of missed opportunities to use quick hands in heavy traffic.

I know it’s match Sim only but Reckon Cox needs to remind some guys that Tackle comes from within, not a BCF store.

Good to see Taylor Adams shaking a Rowbottom tackle. Not many escape the limpet once he gets within cooee. I just hope that's an indication of a super-fit Adams and not a sluggish Rowbum.

I would have thought Mills would need as much match practice as he can get. I can only think he has a niggle.

Francis but no Hamling, who I though really good for the All Stars in the parts of the game I saw.

Also, no new guys.

No Buller.

The squad is a little underwhelming if you are trying stuff. Very conservative squad. Not enough new and developing talent for a Scratch Match. Very underwhelming as we are only seeing the Seniors Squad plus 6. Ho Bloody hum.

The reserves play a game after. Why have the game so bloody early? I have to get out of bed at 5am to see the game. Sad not going to see the other talent as the reserves certainly won't be streamed.

Yes, I was not talking experienced players. Only new draftees, not Ex Saints players. Hope Paton does well. He has obviously had a good preseason.

Dattoli is injured and all our other draftees aside from Bice are pretty raw prospects. So it’s not surprising that none has been named. Maybe it would have been interesting to see Bice since Lloyd and Cunningham are both sitting the game out.

I’m happy to see Hanily named. I’d have been pissed if he hadn’t been after his fantastic showing in last Friday’s scratch match. With Papley also sitting this one out, Hanily should be given plenty of game time to buzz around at Amartey’s and McCartin’s feet.
