If you retain posession I think. Might even be if you don't lose posession so if it goes to a contest it's also effective if your player touches it next

Disposal efficiency is a bit of a rubbish stat because of how it's judged. There's things that count as an 'effective disposal' that you would look at and go nah that's no good.

Kick retention is the best one IMO, but I don't think it's publicly available anywhere.
 
Article on the age today had this tidbit re CEO.

Green says the club has five candidates, including chief operating officer and interim CEO David Chippindall, who applied for the role before Gary Pert was appointed. A decision is likely by the end of the month.

No one wants the gig, they're all pulling out or saying no before they even start. It might not be end of the world if it ends up being Chippindall as PJ really liked him and had him earmarked as a future club CEO.

They just need to make a call. Either roll with Chippindall or back up a truck of cash to Fox's place.

Yeah if we can't get someone actually decent from elsewhere I'd rather just stick with Chippandall even for a year then when we've got a new coach and Smith is President we can potentially have another look once things have settled.

Have the CEO role settled, Smith taken over and a new GM of footy and all of a sudden doors might open easier in our search for a new coach.

It's not the F50 that's the problemo.
It's the method from exiting our D50 too slowly... and our transition thru the corridor that is not happening.

All our senior players have become far too safe, after years of playing the boundary line, taking Mtrs, and have a stoppage.

Of course the stats show poor results... we've only just started to try to change our method of offence and transition to a quicker style.

Expect quite a few misses as we learn to trust in this.

Definitely agree the numbers forward thing is an issue. Baffled as to why a backline with multiple All-Australians in it has the need to have the forwards flood back there to help them. Seeing JVR and Chandler often in the backline is pretty frustrating. I'm not sure on getting in inside 50 faster, I think we do that now and it's a bit of a mess, but I do think we need to transition it from defence faster rather than go chip, chip, chip, boundary.

We're the worst team in the comp fro scoring from turnover, and that's THE key performance metric these days.

I don't mind a short kick exit as long as the player who receives it, then moves quickly to get into the corridor and create overlap run.
