This is the same boat I’m in. Can acknowledge that there were things that won’t fly against better teams, but also be stoked with a good performance, no matter the opposition

I prefer similar, others want to focus on agendas, youth first, etc which is fine too, until it's an attempt to drown out varied opinions

Almost all our players got a lick today, but almost all of them had concerning moments which could bring a different outcome against better sides

I'm pragmatic, never too high or low, I don't call for people to be sacked, nor do I erect statues

4 points boost in %, season still alive, currently
I reckon the likes of Jesse Motlop , Cotts and little Durds all feel better about their seasons tonight. Also Will White and Jeff Carroll are thinking that maybe they have careers in this game. That's today's take outs for me

Lowered the eyes very well today going into the forward line. Didn’t always come off but a lot better signs.
This won't be a well-liked comment but oh well.

One of our big issues this year is composure under pressure. Today there was very little pressure, so players didn't feel rushed and could lower the eyes.

When we play a team that brings serious heat, don't be too surprised or disappointed when the dumb dump kicks return.

I'll take and enjoy the win but at this stage I don't think it tells us much. West Coast were awful.

Jsos is Weitering mini-me.

He’s like a fiddle leaf fig - not to be moved.
See this is the value add I come here for - is the fiddle leaf fig toxic to cats?😜

Happy with the win but under no illusions that we still have a lot of work to do. Good that the penny has dropped that when Charlie is double teamed we don't constantly kick it to him - Little Durds did his job well to make that work.

Does that mean Young to defense….🤮
No SOS should stay in the backline. If Kemp is done for the year then we should move Gov forward. I’m not nearly as down on Haynes as other are so I think he can comfortably hold down a backline spot next to Jsos and Weitering. Up forward it’s Young, Charlie and Gov until Harry is back and then it’s Harry, Charlie and Gov. I don’t want Young or Gov anywhere near the back line on a permanent basis.

We're 1-4 and have a percentage of 103.6% 🤣 🤣 🤣

Seriously though, it does show that we haven't been TOO far off the pace in our losses.
If you account for bad goal kicking and go by expected scores we even have a winning record.

But, bad goal kicking is bad football so it's no excuse.

What about Carroll to a wing down the track, has the foot skills to help with F50 connections, better than Acres by foot!!
I could see that. Has a laser sight attached to his left peg. I reckon that Ollie is getting better playing off the HBF. He’s also starting to stick tackles now.

I'm convinced that the pressure rating thing is just a figure made up by the work experience kid who sits at the back of the stats box and guesses based on the "vibe" of the game.
They definitely have a work experience kid transcribing by hand all the comms during a game. So wouldn’t surprise me.

Absolutely this 👆

I could have played AFL if it wasn’t for opposition pressure
